TV Review: Glee

This is a half-baked review because I only saw one half hour of this hour long show. But within this 30 minutes I saw five minutes of the greatest TV I have seen in years. Glee is a show about a glee club in a high school and each show has several fully produced musical numbers. Last night the show featured Madonna songs. At the beginning of the second half there was a video with Jane Lynch singing Vogue. It was hysterical, cool, breathtaking and moving all at the same time. Kid's, Jane Lynch is NO Madonna. Having said that - Lynch looked pretty and exotic ... even sexy? I am convinced that she sang the whole song herself which is no lame feat. I don't love Madonna she's good... I don't like musicals on TV, but this was epic. As soon as I find the video I will post it here. EDIT:I found a story about the video:

Rating: Strong

I guess you're not the only one who likes Glee.

I read your post purely because of boredom (no offence Smile ) but it made me curious. I had a look on my website ( and saw that the day after an episode airs on TV, a glee song from that episode is always the highest mover on the ITunes chart for that day (at least thats how it is on the Australian itunes chart).

It goes to show you how much money they must make off music sales world wide from that show.

That's an excellent point. For many years (except for PBS) television has been associated with mediocrity in music. Gone are the days of The Monkees and The Partridge Family. If TV networks (producers creators etc.) want to continue to make diversified revenue from their projects, it will be in their interests to score their shows with quality music and reap the profits.
