I guess if your phone battery died it would be as if you just hang up. And if you teleported with your phone in the middle of call, It depends on where you teleported to. If it's on the same area then it might sound a bit choppy for a while then resume normally. If it's out of the cell site then it might look as if your phone battery died.
Regarding your thoughts on teleportation... I haven't thought about that before! XD
What would happen if your phone battery died in the middle of a phone call? I mean, would it just hang up, or would it just cut off, so the other person can't hear anything? Or maybe they'll hear a loong beep?
And what happens if you, say, teleport in a phone call? Yes, I know it's (at time of writing) impossible, but would the phone masts be able to cope? Would they break down?
Talking of teleporting, how would it affect each end? In the case of the entire object being transported immediately, I have worked out (using the really good book What if?) that, on the departing end, a shockwave would occur as the empty void would be filled with air (probably, maybe not). But what on the other end? Would things shrink under the unexpected extra pressure caused by the object suddenly being there? Or would the body collect whatever was there (like air) inside itself?
And what would happen when it was in us? Would it cut us into pieces?
All these, I'm sure, we'll find out some day.
