website layout draft - please comment

You guys know I'm more of a coder then a designer and to be honest it's been a while since I tried to design a new personal website. ( and with good reason... I'm sh*t at it )

I'm not a designer but a developer ( not really, I'm just a lame windows system admin during the day and a linux noob in my spare time ) so most of my time is spent on coding all kinds of automation scripts and applications that make my life at work a whole lot easier. you could call me a DevOps-ish kind of guy.

soooo, today ( not really... I started yesterday ) I started to write up a new layout for my personal website.

It's not finished ( lorem ipsum all over the place ), Yes it's poorly written, yes I've taken bits and pieces from here and there as a reference to write my own rubbish (trust me, css3 and HTML 5 guys will not be able to contain their urine while having a laugh at my poorly written html and css.)

guys, please let me know what you think:

any feedback is welcome... don't go easy on me Laughing

Edit: changed the title in the hopes of getting any kind of feedback

I'm seeing some issues on the layout.

The parallax header is done purely in css and for some reason it's blocking scrolling with the keyboard arrows. As soon as I click on the page it will let me scroll.

Also, when I'm on my (android) phone I cant seem to refresh the page by pulling the page down and releasing it.

I'm lazy. I prefer to just use a WordPress script. It does everything for a person these days and one can install it in a few minutes.

Here's a nice responsive theme for you as well:

using a CMS would be a lot easier, I've tried drupal in the past but dropped it after a while.

There are a lot of themes out there but most of the good looking themes are not free. in the end you could create your own theme but I've found out that it is a lot harder.

Only once I've tried to create my own Drupal theme and it worked nice, for a while, then they released an update and it all went south Crying or Very sad
This is when I started using the CodeIgniter framework.

Drupal and Joomla are awful and they're especially bad for holes in security, no wonder you don't like CMS if your measure of scripts is Drupal. WordPress is really good. It's especially good when one has acquired lots of experience and know the free themes and plugins that are free and works well.

Anyway, I Googled it and found this interesting open source design - with Django CMS. Looks interesting?
