Lithuania's nitrogen fertilizer manufacturer Achema launched a new set of equipment at its nitric acid plant that will add 350 tonnes to the plant's current daily nitric acid production capacity of 3,800 tonnes. The urea manufacturer is based in Jonava, in central Lithuania, and is part of the Achema Group, one of Lithuania's largest business conglomerates. Lithuania's exports accelerated an annual 26.4 percent in August, led by foreign sales of fuels, grain, and fertilizer. Imports grew an annual 12.2 percent, led by Russian crude oil and gas.
