From now on we have a dedicated Science category on Frihost with 6 forums covering most science stuff.
You are all welcome to make suggestions about the forums and their descriptions. Any topics not covered, other descriptions, new forums, ...
Also, for the people who think that the forum index is already way too long and even more forums will make it even longer. Well, I guess I have to agree. I am planning to revamp the forum index to be way more compact by putting some forums next to each other (columns).

Wow, what gave you that idea? I guess it could be a good thing, but I wonder exactly why anybody thought it was needed...

Ocalhoun, the reason they did it was so they'd have somewhere to put all the science topics you keep on making.
I think its a great idea. Science is obviously a popular topic here, so why not exploit that.

Wow. This is cool and makes FriHost evolve even more. I like the idea of Science forums and I believe that this is the right time to make Frihost mature enough
Revamping the site forums is sweet and I would like to see it soon. However, I think its nice to keep everything clean and accessible. But I know Bondings can create every fabulous thing.
Good luck Frihost...

Anything that makes things a little more organized is fine by me, but then again, I'm a file Nazi. You should see my computer... it gives most people the shrieking horrors, but I know exactly where everything is, hee hee.

How long would that take to mod anyways (along with all the other mods here).

"Basics"? What makes you think chemistry and physics are basic? Fundamental would be a more appropriate term.
Arnie on Mon Oct 13, 2008 6:50 pm
Well, since it was me who chose that term then I'll defend it.
Basics was intended to be seen as 'fundamental principles' rather than 'elementary or simple'. Both definitions are valid, and I certainly did not mean to imply that the 'basics' of science are simple...

PS - just to add - I used the noun version - Basics and a quick scan of common dictionary sources reveals:
..principles from which other truths can be derived
..statement(s) of fundamental facts or principles
..essential, fundamental elements or entities

Universe is the general area for discussions of science relating to the universe, rather than science relating specifically to the earth. This would include cosmology, astronomy, astrophysics, space-exploration etc.

Yes. We need to marry our science skills with technology enthusiasts to get the green revolution going.
