To compensate for the downtime and server problems lately, I have decided to change the disk space quota of Server 2/3 to 500MB. Other servers may follow later, but not immediately.
If you are on Server 2/3 and you still have the 250MB quota, please notify me since that would mean that I forgot to adjust your account.
The points script is also disabled for about a week.

It's currently only for Server 2/3, not yet for the other servers.
@deanhills, you are on VPS 1 and I guess the quota are wrong. The ∞ means unlimited.

Generocity and modesty is what differentiates frihost from other hosts, i also have a paid hosting with about 300 GB of storage, but still i prefer using frihost. And bondings rocks as well!

@milleja46, the problem with making the disk space quota higher is that it causes a lot of people to try out some software (forums, cms's, blogs) and then forgetting about them instead of removing them.
After a while, when this software isn't updated, bugs can be exploited and the account gets hacked and causes a lot of problems for the server
Another issue is that this causes there to be a lot of small files. One big file doesn't cause much harm, but a lot of small files make indexing and backing up very slow. And the more data and small files, the slower it is to move to a different server in case a server move is needed. So it's not simply a concern about having enough disk space on the server, but also these problems need to be taken into account.
By the way, a lot of paid hosts (the big ones) maybe state huge amounts or unlimited disk space, but they have limits to the number of files allowed. So after installing a few of those things, you already hit the limit.

The new server seems to run so much faster, phpmyadmin is a lot faster now! This is a great improvement.
One thing I noticed is that from the databases I have, the two biggest ones seem to show tables on the phpmyadmin panel on the left -(34) and (54)- and then when I access them it says that the database doesn't contain any tables. So I lost all the data in the server changes there. I also had many mysql rutines for those databases (mysql functions and stored procedures) so I hope if you could check if you still have them around, because on the overview panel on the left it shows as if there is something on them.

@Mrs Lycos, I have restored the database footy and superliga with the mysql data from the old server. Those were the databases that matched the number of tables you mentioned.

Yes all the data is there now Thanks!! The only thing- I believe because of how Mysql or phpmyadmin handles the information (sql dump)-I never got it to upload the rutines (functions and stored procs) on a batch upload, I still have to do it one by one by hand, and there were quite a few! I thought the restoring from your side would bring them up, ufortunately it didn't

@Mrs Lycos, it could have been due to version changes of MySQL. Maybe during an upgrade they got lost due to some problem. However during the sql dump and restore it gave no errors, so I think it happened on the old server.

@SMiL3, currently on Server 2/3 and on Server 4 (currently new accounts are created there) the disk quota is the double as stated on our home page (it is 500MB). VPS1 still has the old quota, but that should change in a few months
