Last call for users still using the old server 2

This is the last announcement for users on server 2 who are still using the old server with ip You should immediately change this ip and use server 3 ip: since server 2 accounts are hosted on server 3. The subdomain and nameservers and should still be used.

I thought this was obvious and everyone already switched a long time ago, but apparently there were still some users using it according to some support requests.

All data is going to be removed from the server shortly and I'll probably put a new subdomain for hosting on it. I'll most likely call it server 4 to avoid further confusion. (Server 2 users will probably eventually end up on another server or vps for them alone, which will then be called server 2 or VPS 2)

If you are using a subdomain or the nameservers, then everything is ok. (and of course if you are on vps 1 or server 3 there is no problem either)

Thanks Bondings for the heads up. I love all the good stuff about frihost.

I've a TLD domain name added in my Frihost's server 2 account. I didn't change anything when the server 2 accounts were moved to server 3.

I don't use IP address to point my domain name to my FriHost account. I use name servers and, cos, my domain name registrar didn't ask me IP address, it only asked me name servers and configured it as and

Since I'm not using an IP address, it seems that everything is OK with the name servers. So I will not need to change my name server.

Thanks anyway Very Happy

The server will be formatted and a new OS will be installed.

Once configured and tested, it will become Server 4 and be the home of accounts.

There will be no more server 2 for quite a while. (until we get a new server or vps)
