An ongoing story...

has meagre beginnings. Actually, it starts right here on this page. Why not everything has to begin somewhere. Everyday, I will be adding to it. Thanks for visiting.

Yes, everything must start somewhere else it is just nowhere.
Which reminds me. I need to start that article I promised for another website.

Thanks and good idea. It is not a huge deal to come everyday and leave a thought or two for the day but more involved when it comes to working on web pages. I have that to do too. Good luck with your article writing.

Positive thought?

Progress may be slow though it may also be consistent.

It might be pointless but even pointless has a purpose. What does that mean?

Well I've closely watched and made sure that I post everyday. That is petty much a habit now and an ongoing story as the title suggests. The next thing to do is get my website up and running again. All the old stuff has been deleted so now I can start afresh.

Since I'm not spending a great deal of time on the web site and I am actually very slow at that kind of thing it will not be so fantastic but I will resolve to do a little each day.

One small step may lead to another.

I have mixed feelings about making web pages. They can be fun to play with and they can be a real pain too. Getting one that suits your needs when you are not really sure what you want is a real challenge.

Busy day today. Not much time for anything else. Sad

I've written something now I think I will go with but just need to do some revisions before uploading. Making a little progress but I hope I can speed up a little and write more even if it is not the greatest. Don't you hate it when you write something and the next day want to toss half of it?

I think I've resolved to write one day and look over it the next. In other words have a lag time before uploading.

That's not a bad idea, taking a break from writing and coming back to it and reading it over. You might see somethibg you don't like or something that might sound better if phrased differently. Whenever I was in a story mode I would write a lot and then come back to it another day. As I read through it I would see spelling and grammar errors or I would cut sections or redo sections.

Well done BD. Like the layout and design as well! Cool

Thanks for commenting both of you. Before I opened this up I was going to write, "I am not going to write anything in this blog today." Laughing

I see lots of mistakes in my writing all the time and keep making the same mistakes over and over. As I try to put pieces together and formulate thoughts into sentences it is worse. I might improve if I made the effort but if the truth be told hate editing.

I've learned a few things about web design. These new things to me may be just old hat for seasoned web designers but nevertheless new to me. One thing is what has been already said and that is editing. Blogs with editing capabilities have an advantage in that they don't need to be constantly loaded and reload as mistakes are found or you want to make some changes.

Also linking can be a problem. I'm not very happy with the little I did so still working on it. That is something I suppose.

Spending more time learning about web paging than I thought. I do want to actually use my site for blogging too I think. Well, will see how it develops. Perhaps it might be a place I actually write too someday as well as here of course.

By the way has anyone in the world every said,

Hi, today I was web paging. Laughing

Can't believe 11 days has gone by since I started this topic. I must write something about what I've accomplished in that time. Though it might be a short one at least it is something starting with...

1) have established a firm habit of posting everyday

2) am doing something on my pc regarding web pages (though it may not be fantastic according to anyone that is good at that stuff - for me it is an accomplishment)
Bluedoll on Sat Mar 23, 2013 1:09 pm
Not an accurate # above if it means actual posted here day. If there is going to be a count of the number of hours spent on something (say the making of web pages) then it should perhaps be only the days spent doing it.

Also, the kind of work could be noted and might require two or more topics. For example, one topic might say Work done on Content while the other might say work done on design. Maybe even a third work done on research or anything where time is spent. Nice working log which I think blogging can be about?

It is time to close this page and move on to a new one - the end.

Just a marker. The purpose of this comment is to just check in. If you do not post for a while the points drop into the red and that just bugs me.

I don't want to be blogging just to keep the points up though. Not good for anything not good for me either. Yep time for a new topic most definitely!
Bluedoll on Mon Jun 03, 2013 1:38 pm
Great to see you "checking in". Get the feeling of an ongoing story in-slow-a-motion. Very Happy

I guess so...

I am not cheating. This is my fuzzy meter thing for the internet. I do not want to enter my real work online. Am I paranoid? I could be or maybe I am just being cautious. What I will do is to keep perfect track of my writing. I will do that because for me it is important. A couple of years ago I did not reach my goal and it was very disappointing. This year I am going to make fifty thousand words.

Even though what I am putting online is not my real work is completely accurate in that the same amount of words exists in my file folder. It is actually more work to do it this way but I thought I wanted to be very secretive about this book. In a way the story is too so it fits well. Well that is about it.

So here are some words that will repeat as often as necessary.

Best of luck with this Kate. Think that has to be the first step for any author. The discipline of writing X number of words every day. And maybe a structure and outline of what you would like to achieve.
deanhills on Thu Oct 31, 2013 11:28 am
I am getting a 403 right now
Josso on Sat Nov 02, 2013 11:24 pm
Agreed Josso. Yesterday was a really BAD down day for Frihost.
deanhills on Sun Nov 03, 2013 12:33 am
403 can be deadly. First I am trying to be consistent. I'm just unable to follow an outline so trying to go without one but I can see the advantage. If you can change outlines maybe one can be made up on the fly as well. One things for sure though it will be short.

The only way to write any story is to write it. Smile
