I wonder how effective that is?

I think there is a whole art to it. For example, if you would like to do a Website on Canadian immigration, then the more you repeat the Canadian immigration words the more hits you may get. Especially on the index page. I've never really consciously applied this however. The closest I got is creating keywords in Microsoft Expression Web as I always thought those would be the ones that would be picked up by bots. However, it may no longer be the case, bots have become so much more specialized and intelligent than previously, perhaps because there is so much more competition for page ranking than there has been before. I think if I do start a business that I probably will think of paid advertising with Google and Yahoo. I've seen some really effective ones, for example asking you to participate in a little word game, and next thing you are surfing through the Website.

My only worry and maybe a downside, I am not sure. The pursuit to create such documents or pages is almost program driven. I mean what we write becomes words for a computer? The attraction for getting on top of the big list though is compelling.
