Mr satan says end this!

As little as fifty-sixty years ago a statement like "end of world" would have brought skepticism and even laughter. Presently, most people are observing world conditions much more seriously.

The end of the world does not necessarily mean disaster and doom though it could for many. World conditions have evolved so dramatically in the last fifty years that to turn a blind eye most certainly would be a big mistake. The tasks ahead facing mankind are enormous and they need little introduction.
Perhaps the next wave approaching will be food shortages. As oceans become spoiled by over fishing, poor management, pollution and are negatively affected by global temperatures - how will the world population feed itself is being asked by many?
Nuclear war, terrorism, world economic collapse are also not nice words but ignoring them will not make them go away. Will you trust the politicians, the scientists, the economic leaders or any group to set things right? What is needed? What will work? What can save mankind from not suffering a fate of unprecedented demise in recorded history? These are valid, clear and perfectly legitimate questions.
The end of the world can mean, the end for many, but it does not have to be an end to life on earth, only an entrance to another way to live on earth... the answer is with God. Trust exclusively and completely in the word of God and not the satan message.

Why does God not do something now? Actually the truth is, something is being done. You get to elect which message you want to believe, “but they struck with blindness the men who were at the entrance of the house from the least to the greatest so that they were wearing themselves out trying to find the entrance.” – Genesis 19:11

This is rather alarmist and, so far as I can tell, rather baseless.

a) 50-60 years ago people were FAR more worried about the end of the world. Russia and the US were playing nuclear Russian Roulette on an island called Cuba and many intelligent and thoughtful people were pretty sure that the end was nigh - with very good reason.

b) The oceans provide about 10% of the food consumed by humans. The worst-case predictions currently in play have this reducing to about 8%.

c) Nuclear war is a very slight chance and the prospects of it diminish with each passing year. Nuclear terrorism cannot be ruled out but from a nuclear standpoint the world is FAR FAR safer today than 50-60 years ago/

d) Terrorism has been around since the beginning of recorded history. Terrorism is also DIMINISHING not increasing. In the 1970s and 1980s HUNDREDS of planes were hijacked - it was almost routine. We had killings by the IRA, ETTA, Black Monday and a host of other terrorist groups. The only major terrorist group now in play is Al Queda and offshoots. Add together all the victims (including 9/11) and it is a small fraction of the people killed by terrorism in other decades.

e) There is no 'world economic collapse'. There is a recession caused by greedy bankers and cowardly/inept oversight. The current recession is not as serious as many in history - including the 1930s depression.

f) There is no reason to suppose that mankind is about to 'suffer an unprecedented demise' - and it would not be unprecedented even if it DID happen. You seem to forget the time that your God drowned 99.9999999999999% of the entire population because they were naughty. I doubt we will see that level of 'demise' in this era.

g) If God has some answers then you, as a faithful believer, should have an inside track. So tell us - what are these answers? Simply going to church won't help - it never has in past history. Surely you can give us a clue about what God would do to make the world better. (The real question, of course, is 'if God CAN make the world better and yet he doesn't, then why on earth do you think he is 'loving' and 'compassionate'? Such refusal to act is neither).

I decided a while back to have a blog where I could write down my thoughts and when I wanted to have dialogue with others - post on the board. That is why, for a long time now, all my posts have comments disabled. I wish that moderators would respect this request and not post in my blog when it is disabled! Thank you.

I didn't think I had. Although I *can* over-ride the disable setting, I don't. I didn't think that comments on this posting were disabled. In fact I still don't see them as disabled. If they ARE then please let me know and I will report the bug.

I'm not a mod and I'm able to comment here.
End of the world stuff does seem a bit over the top but it appears to be popular to many people at the moment so I'll leave them to their doomsday scenarios! Wink

Bluedoll is a happy and usually friendly person that maintains her little blog, with some posts that have replies turned off and suggests that perhaps something or someone is turning this feet ture back on? - a little bug but nothing much to worry about!
