Helmets Provide Insignificant Protection

According to some web sites, a bunch of doctors from the mid-west US are saying that helmets do not provide significant protection in the case of an ATV or motorcycle accident involving children.

I'm no expert, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night, and I'm here to tell you that these doctors are trying to work some kind of agenda with claims like that.

What a crock of BS Rolling Eyes

Of course helmets helps. Instead of crack your head you crack the helmet. Not in all cases but it definitely helps. Of course you are not immortal if you use a helmet. Wink

That was my whole point, everyone knows they help a lot, especially in low to medium speed impacts. But like you said, you take a straight-on header at 50 mph, chances are the helmet won't make a bit of difference.

It just amazes me that these doctors can say this crap with a straight face. I wonder what their reasoning is, aside from the fact that they hill billy's and probably don't know better.
