Atheist anger and religious intolerance

Given the discussion themes that are somewhat prevalent on FriHost these days, I figure that posting this talk by Greta Christina at Skepticon 4. She details, first, that atheists are not necessarily angry people, but some are pretty angry about the roles of religion in the world, then goes through a litany of aspects of religion that are angering... there are a lot of parallels between what she says and what we've seen here.

Yes, it's ~45min long... TL;DR for most of you, but it's here if you're interested Razz

EDIT - right, I should mention that there is some "offensive" language in there too. If you're scared of commonly used words, don't watch this.

21 minutes in is very apposite Smile
The video reminded me (and in some cases informed me) of just how much there is to be angry about.

Apposite; new word day!
The tone changes somewhat in a little bit, if you're only 25 min in.

Hmm....I think the 'uniquely armoured' argument is very strong - it is sort-of what I've argued myself, but more coherently phrased.

Right on! @32:30. OMG Where did all these elephant s**t come from?

And Galileo was a victim of roman inquisition? I didn't know that.

Well, Roman is still, I think, shorthand for 'Roman Catholic Church' in some uses...

Wow. Talk about religion hampering works of science. Still is to this day.
