Web Hosting Support : my site has been removed

last wednedsday, frihost.org was being marked as containing viruses.
Two days later, my site has been removed. I must admit that i was inactive on the fora for some time.
My apologies for that.
Is there some way to restore the situation, so that my site (www.stm.frihost.org) is set online again. I suppose that the problem of containing viruses was due to norton marking frihost.org as containing viruses in its totality.

Stats : 3 Replies

Web Hosting Support : Anyone uses Joomla here on Frihost?

If anyone could enlighten me about the ftp functionality on Joomla, I would be thankful:!:
It's possible to use and my problem is only my lack of knowledge?

I exposed my problem in this topic, but no one replied

Stats : 2 Replies

Web Hosting Support : Can sb. please tell me why my HP is an "attacking site&

Okay. Yesterday everthing was okay. I loaded up and down a bit, made some new pages into my site
http://theblackknights.frihost.org
And now... i am excluded from my own Site today - because it is beeing blocked.
Reason is: that it is "an attacking site"?

Stats : 8 Replies

User banned from my site

Web Hosting Support : User banned from my site

Hello,

Sometime in the past two weeks, one of my user's was banned from the site. I didn't ban him at all, and after checking my ban list on cpanel and my .htaccess files his IP is not in any of them (I even tried removing all of the 3 banned IPs, and still nothing).

The error he is getting is as follows:

Quote:

The connection has timed out
The server at www.cheesemedia.net is taking too long to respond.

My site is http://cheesemedia.net (or http://cheesegames.frihost.net )

Does anyone have any suggestions how I could unban him?

Kind Regards,

Web Hosting Support : extension=php_pdo_mysql.dll

Could the adminstrator or moderator please enable (uncomment) the line

;extension=php_pdo_mysql.dll

in php.ini, in server 1, so I can use:

new PDO(mysql:host, user, pass);
to acess my MySQL database from my website using PDO.

if not, could some one give me another solution that works fine here in frihost (better if it uses PDO...).

Thanks.

Stats : 5 Replies

Subdomain management problem.

Web Hosting Support : Subdomain management problem.

(for the domain onet.frih.net)

I'm trying to (re)create the subdomain frih.onet.frih.net, because that's what I use for linking images to the forum. (At some point, the subdomain simply disappeared.)

However, in cpanel's subdomain management section, I can't add any new subdomains. No matter what name I type in for it, when I click 'create', the progress bar on my browser says "looking up none", and a browser's error page will soon show up, saying "cannot find server at none". Seems to be a problem.

Stats : 3 Replies

Web Hosting Support : What is the best way to backup my files in frihost?

Well, I have just created a blog and I am trying to backup my data every week so that if something goes wrong then I can easily restore it. so, what is the best way of backing up my files including the database? I have seen this
Compress clipboard files to /domains/crazyblogger.info/public_html/
but will it backup my database? Or is it just for files I have in public_html.

Stats : 5 Replies

How to access CPanel/DirectAdmin from behind a firewall

Web Hosting Support : How to access CPanel/DirectAdmin from behind a firewall

What is this sticky about? Well if you didnt understand from the topic already, heres a description of the problem. You get hosted by frihost after 5
GOOD, MEANINGFUL
posts. All happy, you try to access your cPanel. Oh no, you receive a time-out or page cannot be found error. You try accessing www.frihost.net/cpanel and all other combinations with port no 2082 etc. Still nothing. Your dreams are shattered, no more can you become the e-business billionaire that you dreamt of. Well no need to worry, there's always a way out!!!

Either set an exception for port 2082 in your firewall or use this very cool script called cPanelProxy

What does it do?

Quote:

Its purpose is to give access to cPanel (including webmail and WHM) at port 80 by acting like a proxy. (For people behind strict firewalls.)

How to install?

2 methods, manually or use the autoinstall feature...I have used both successfully without any problems.

Manual Install:

- Get onto cPanel once, somehow, from a computer NOT behind a firewall
- Through cPanel, create the subdomain "cpanel.yourname.frihost.net"
- Download and unzip cPanelProxy.zip from HERE
- FTP these unzipped files across to "public_html/cpanel". ...

Stats : 56 Replies

My host is acting weird

Web Hosting Support : My host is acting weird

I had some problems with my host and I thought they would be solved after a reset ( http://www.frihost.com/forums/vt-111267.html ). But they didn't.

So these are all the errors that I have... (cPanel!)

When I create a database I get this error:

There was a problem creating the database.. Show Details

Sorry, you have exceeded the maximum allowed databases.

When I want to see all my databases (which are none after reset):

CP-Wrap Critical Error (signal 13 from wrapped program)! This may indicate a corrupt admin binary in /usr/local/cpanel/bin/

Can't open phpMyAdmin:

Wrong user/password combination.

(Probably because of the new password that I received). Deleting my cookies didn't work.

Error when opening Fantastico De Luxe:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ';' in /tmp/cpanel_phpengine.1257095664.21879pYMSNd9ZpU on line 116

I don't know if some people have the same errors or
what you can do about it
... (I searched some errors with the frihost searchengine but there are no results). ...

Stats : 5 Replies

Server or DNS won't Refresh

Web Hosting Support : Server or DNS won't Refresh

Hey I am having troubles with my website. I deleted and updated some html files and that. And made sure it was right and when I got to the website www.ebgames56pp.frih.org/main.html I have already deleted that file, but it still shows up. the new file is www.ebgames56pp.frih.org/main.htm (Yes I know it should be named index, but the index file is there and is being used for an intro thinggy.) I think the problem is with the Frihost Servers.... Direct Admin and FTP shows that those files are deleted and that they are right it just doesn't work now.....

Like I said I think this is a server issue or a dns resolve problem.... hope you all get it fix.

Thanks in advance.

Stats : 6 Replies

My frih fundazone.com not opening but able 2 access files

Web Hosting Support : My frih fundazone.com not opening but able 2 access files

I just noticed that my website http://www.fundazone.com which is hosted on frih is not opening. I first thought my account may have gone into negative points coz I haven't been active for some time, but I'm having 12.37 points at the time of writing this post.

So then I tried to access the files thru frih.org:2222 and it worked.
Then I checked http://funda.frih.net which is in the same account and that too opened.

So now I think its probably by domain registrar's fault, so I've sent them an email.

I don't know if the IP address has changed for the frih hosting on server 3.
I had kept the IP address to 64.92.163.26

Please let me know if it has changed.

Thanks in advance. I'm waiting for my domain registrar's reply.
Hope this gets corrected soon.

Stats : 5 Replies

Web Hosting Support : Catch-All Address Required

Having just transferred my domains direct to your hosting, I am having problems using my email, namely the catch-all email address. Reading site-helper.com/email it states that on the Email Menu there should be an option for such an address, but I dont seem to be able to find it.
Why was the account ereased from ftp / http?

username / password issues

Web Hosting Support : username / password issues

First my normal way of publishing my website stopped working (a web building program called Cutesite by Globalscape), it started asking for a password before it would publish to Frihost and would not accept any. I have had some computer problems so I suspected it was due to this (some glitch in password storage or something.) I assume the password it wants is to connect to the Frihost FTP hosting, since I can readily change my own webbuilding passwords no problem.

So for the first time I tried to get into the Frihost control panel for my webhosting (Frihost account under Handfleisch), but it won't accept my password, and when I click on "forgot password" it doesn't even recognize my user name so it cannot send me a new password message.

Please help.

Stats : 9 Replies

Web Hosting Support : Assigning domain name into my hosting account

Hello, I have just bought a domain name and I want to use frihost as my hosting place. I have given a detail like server name and ip address in my domain registrar account as below
ns1.frih.org 72.232.207.74
ns2.frih.org 72.232.207.74

I have an existing domain www.yourguide.frih.org and I have changed it to www.crazyblogger.info (recently bought) in directadmin.

Is my process right? If I have done a mistake than please correct me.
Finally How long does it takes to show my site in new domain name? I guess its about 48 hrs but not sure.

Stats : 4 Replies

Are theer any windows hosts allow .exe files to be run ?

Web Hosting Support : Are theer any windows hosts allow .exe files to be run ?

Hi,

Most windows-based hosts don't allow .exe files to be run on their servers unless you opt for an expensive virtual or dedicated hosting solution.

If you use a compiled script such as those generated by many Basic, C+ or Pascal compilers the end output is usually either an ".exe" fil or else an ".IVM" file which still requires some form of interpreter or runtime application to be hosted also. Often these files are theemselves .exe files.

More and more users such as myself prefer to generate such compiled scripts rather than use either Perl or PHP scripts.

Therefore, does anyone know of any such hosts that also allow free hosting, so that a user can try out his/her compiled scripts prior to going for a "paid" service ?

Cheers,

Robin

Stats : 5 Replies

ftp layer in joomla 1.5

Web Hosting Support : ftp layer in joomla 1.5

There are many posts on this topic so I will ask specifically has anyone resolved the:

JFTP::login: Unable to login
JFTP::write: Unable to use passive mode

Ftp layer issue in Joomla 1.5 in relation to the Frihost server? I know I can turn it off and use it the other way but I am having no luck installing extensions and plug-ins ect. I have had to install everything locally and upload the entire site.I am trying to resolve this and find a way to upload the extensions to the frihost server.

So I ask again has anyone had success with getting the Frihost server to take extensions uploads without error problems and if so how. I am stumped and it would seem so is everyone else I have followed in our forum. also I have an ftp account with my website setup in dreamweaver, it works fine there but that's it.Thanks

Stats : 2 Replies

Web Hosting Support : I could not add my domain name to my account

Hi,

Thank you admin for resetting my account and for the new password of CPanel.

I am trying to restore my website now. At first I had to add www.psexam.com domain name to the hosting account. But When I try to add domain from Addon Domain of CPanel, it displays error message that the domain is owned by another user. It can never be. I am afraid there is some problem.

Could you please fix it so that I could start restoring my website.

Thanking you
My FTP Account won't work

Web Hosting Support : My FTP Account won't work

Hi everyone, I had to rebuild my machine and have loaded all the apps I need back on. I reloaded filezilla and put my frihost ftp details in but I've getting connection refused messages.

The settings are exactly the same as they have always been, so I'm a bit confused.

The Fillzilla messages are:

Status:	Selected port usually in use by a different protocol.
Status:	Resolving address of
ftp.myaccount.frih.net

Status:	Connecting to 64.92.163.26:21...
Status:	Connection established, initializing TLS...
Error:	Connection timed out
Error:	Could not connect to server

Could somebody PM me my FTP login details so I can check these are the same as what I am using.?

Stats : 6 Replies

In the next few days I'm off travelling for 5 or 6 weeks, so won't be around to post.
I'm pretty sure my points will last out anyway, but it would be much appreciated if you didn't disable my account in this time
I just bought a domain from Godaddy and following the guide on this forum it says I need to access my direct admin.
So going through http://cp.frih.net I cant logon with my username or password.
So I'm trying to go to "forgot password" and it says that there is no such username. Any help please?

Web Hosting Support : .htaccess problem in wordpress

I have successfully installed wordpress and everything is running smoothly. But when I tried to change the permalink of my post from the default, it said

Quote:

If your .htaccess file were writable, we could do this automatically, but it isn't so these are the mod_rewrite rules you should have in your .htaccess file. Click in the field and press CTRL + a to select all.

Quote:

<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
</IfModule>

I think it is due to the file permission policy in the server. I cannot decide the file to change the permission. Is there any way to do this? I am trying to change my permalink link in wordpress from the default one.

Oh! my blog is www.yourguide.frih.org I really need to change permalink.

Stats : 4 Replies
