Anime and Comics : Prince of Tennis!

Tennis is the best sport out so far!

The Prince of Tennis manga is pretty good. It has an interesting storyline and I recommend this book to people that like Tennis. If you've seen the TV show already on Toonami - Cartoon Network it's a bit messed up. The voices sound weird and the emotions and reactions are a bit plain or have no expression at all. For one I think the book is better than the show so...when you ever read the book just picture/sound out the emotions differently in your head than the show when you read the text. For all you people that don't know what the Prince of Tennis is, it's about a boy named Ryoma Echizen, a 12 year old, 7th grade. Ryoma's father was one of the greatest Tennis players of all time, until during one match he injured himself, ending his career forever. His talent was passed on to his, who is determined to be the best Tennis player in the world...

So go to your local book store such as Barnes and Noble etc.. and buy the series!! ...

1. FullMetalAlchemist
This is an excellent show ive seen all but the 3 OVAs that arent even out it japan yet. I LOVE IT (and even watching it for the 6th time Hughes death still saddens me but youll see him again in the movie)

2. Love Hina
If you have no sense of humor you will not enjoy this show, it is excellent and i wish everone could watch it

3. Trigun
First of id like to say I HATE WESTERNS, but i LOVED THIS SHOW, guns shooting, fighting it was just excellent

I just finished watching episode 52-53 which is the last episode available at the moment and I have this to say about the series. It is simply amazing. It has in my opinion very little flaws. If you haven't seen or want to see it there are many sites that have it for direct download. You can also find it on torrent sites or any P2P.

Here is a quick summary:
Ichigo Kurosaki is a 15-year old boy with an angry face. He also has the ability to see ghosts. This brings him trouble when one day, he meets a Death God named Rukia Kuchiki, one who destroys Hollows, destructive beings created from dead people who are left on Earth. In an incident with a Hollow, Rukia transfers her energy to Ichigo, to create him into a Death God. As mysterious new characters arise, Ichigo must learn that the Hollows aren't his only enemy, and to destroy them, he must learn the way of a Death God.
Kurosaki Ichigo is not a regular 15 year old, because he has always had the ability to see spirits and ghosts. One day, a female Shinigami (God of Death) named Kuchiki Rukia appears before him, hunting for an evil spirit. ...

Okay, surely people here have watched it since it's like the hottest thing right now. I personally thought it was amazing, but stopped watching at about episode 80, and i know i'm way behind now. but from what i hear the story arch isnt so great now anyways. although i understand that it's necessarily, i really hate animes htat flood you with filler episodes and flashbacks from the same episode or the last episode jsut to kill time. also it's funny how if you watch enough, you can tell when the good artist or the bad artist comes on, sometimes there's really crappy animation or the characters look out of wack etc.

I have a question. Recently, on Lucky Stars "Lucky Channel", I saw a debate about the origins of the characteristics of tsundere characters. For those of you who don't know, tsundere characters are characters who are bossy and aloof on the outside, while secretly innocent and lovestruck. The word comes from two japanese words. TsunTsun, and DereDere. I've posted the whole quotes that I think are relevant from the lucky channel show. Please care to show your thoughts.

What did you think of it?

Personally i thought it had started off great but then really dulled down, it was exciting to wonder if anything would change but i just felt like i was back to watching Dragon Ball Z with Goku taking his time to charge up some ball that in the end doesn't do anything. xD

I just really hope that episode 8 has some large impact, otherwise ill be disappointed!

What does everyone else think?

I have Night Head Genesis, watched it. Wil is right, it has some gay incestous overtones that would turn some people off but it can be ignored. The plot is a bit weak but the psychic powers are cool and there are some touching scenes that makes you wanna go "awww".

Macross Frontier is Good. If you liked Code Geass or any mech anime, you'll like it!

Nabari no Ou has action that you're looking for. But it also delves in deeper to the more emotional aspects of a person burdened with a responsibility.

xxxHolic: Kei. It's xxxHolic's sequel. If you like Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, think of this as a side story.

D.GrayMan, also action.

Katekyo Hitman Reborn, more action/shonen. Mafia.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, more mech and awesome drills that can pierce the heavens!

I'll add more once I think up of something!

Recently after watching anime like The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Black Lagoon ive found to greatly like Tomboy anime girls, like Toph from avatar or Revy from Black Lagoon as well as silent emotionless characters like Yuki from Haruhi Suzumiya.

Well back to avatar. I Find that Toph if my favorite character xD
Her unique metal bending and male-like attitude is something i've come to love in the character. It was a shame she didn't end up with anyone romantically, i thought there were one or two moments something would've happened, but i guess that can wait till she got older.

And second in my ranking is Sokka, but only after he learnt to use a sword. It seemed that he picked up a bit of maturity and uniqueness when learning to sword, so i grew to like him. Plus his relationship with Toph seemed to be pretty close if only something happened.

I managed to watch this animation on my local TV channel, and was quite happy with the story.

Especially the mix of humours (some time in their very natural responses expressed) and tensions.

Tried to buy the series from the local DVD stores, but unable to get them.

Anyone watch this and know if I can get the anime online?

I mean tested download and not fooled by the download.

Heidi was the story of a little girl and I used to love that cartoon series a lot. The way different childish emotions were screened was real marvelous. You just couldn't sit there without being moved by tht child's character. I remeber having tears in my eyes everytime Heidi was in trouble.....and always wished I had a daughter that cute and innocent.

I felt that it was a good anime, but the line between good and bad is way to clear. the ending was good, but could have been better.
The concept of the show is good and when the lab scene happened I could not believe it. thats what you get for seeking eternal life...I suppose.
I was thinking about getting the game, anyone play it? i heard that it was good. the battles seem good from what i could see from the images i saw

Has anyone read them?

I've heard they werent too good but Ive only read one.

It was issue 23, and let me tell you, it was amazingly good. I didnt like the second segment (artwork style uggh). The first one was good. But the third! One of the best comic stories ever. It was so well done. The final words and final pictures of it were just amazing.

Has anyone finished a comic book and then just paused to think about what you just read? Well thats what I did. I finished the third segment and then went to sleep and thought about it for 30 minutes.

If you haven't read Star Wars Tales, i suggest you start out with issue 23 because i can guarntee thats its a great issue.
