Welcome to, 'Crack the code' 1

The basic concept of the contest is to pass all the barriers, and decode the final code. Who ever does this first will be rewarded with the first prize!

Kindly read all the rules, and the description.

Description:

This code-breaking contest is not related to any script or coding language, all you need is time, concentration and some common sense..

Figuring out the codes is very easy, according to me.

The contest consists of 4 barriers, you need a specific code to pass each barrier, the final barrier consists of a final code, which you will have to decode, and then you will get the final answer.

All the barriers are embeded flash files, these files are not just to be viewed! You have to do something in them, to go ahead.. check for the in-built hints.. Don't go to the next barrier unless told to do so in the present barrier, even if you do go to the next one, you wont be able to pass it, because you need a code

Other than that, once the winner is selected, he will have to write down the method to get to the code, and how he de-coded it. So, you'll have to pass all the barriers anyway.

1)Send all answers to me as a pm.

2)Post all questions as a reply to this post (if the question relates to anything which can help any other user to get through, then kindly pm it to me)

3)Do not tell the method of passing any certain stage to anyone, in-case you are caught doing so, you will be disqualified, along with the other user.

4)There is no time limit.. the contest is ever lasting.

5)All wrong answers will be posted by me in this post (in case there are any, which is quite unlikely)

6)Do not go to the next barrier, unless the present barrier tells you to do so.

How does Photoshop Tennis work?
I post a picture, someone downloads it and adds something to the picture and reuploads. Next person takes the new picture and adds something as well. Then we'll get a collaboration of fun!

Rules:
-Do not change the picture's resolution
-Try saving it as a high quality picture. Prefered bmp or png OR jpg with at least 80% quality settings.
-Do not add too much to the picture, others need to contribute as well, leave some space.
-You get 10 frih for each time you contribute. This is a contest.
-Wait one turn before having another go.

The first starting image is a photo of the ocean and the beach I found on Google.

Go out there and take a photo of a Sport Related Item. Like a golf ball sitting on the green with the flag out of focus in the background. Anything to do with sport even a pair of football(soccer) shoes sitting next to each other with mud on them.

Must be a recognized sport (Car Racing and Fishing inclusive).

Try to keep any humans/animals

I saw this idea on another forum,the idea is to have a picture,and one person adds something to it,then someone uses the edited picture and also adds something to it and so on and so on.

Heres the starter picture.

(When uploading your own picture,please use an imagehost like imageshack.us ,and use the code for thumbnails for forums option)

The next person to post needs to add something to the above picture,please don't add anything huge,leave space for others to add stuff,and allow the picture to grow organically.

Last time the short story had to be written within the topic of 'Love'.

Stuff you use or see on an everyday basis, shot at different angles and mostly from a very close distance - you won't believe how weird they will look!

This is quite a popular forum game, where you need to guess what's on the picture.
The catch is that

I photograph only a small part of the object

. Guess what the object is, and win the round.
I never edit the pictures, apart from cropping and reducing the size, because I use a 7MP camera.

I'm sure there are lots of aspiring songwriters out there. In order to provide a platform for these potential song creators to express their enthusiasm for music as well as a chance to protray their talents, I hereby declare a song writing contest!

The rules are simple. The current contest is focusing more on songs that comes with lyrics. Pm me the entire song lyrics and post one of the stanza of the lyrics in the forum. People who saw the stanza and are interested could vote for the song. There will be 2 songs selected by me and 1 song selected by public voting. The creators of the 3 songs will then proceed on to create the full song, including the tune. Completed version of the song will then be posted on a video hosting site such as Youtube (by the creator so I do not have the soft copy) for further voting.

The prizes are as follows (due to my limited Frih$):

2nd -> Frih$100
3rd -> Frih$50

Actaully I'm just checking public interest (going on the footsteps of ocalhoun!!) for such a competition..

I'm going to give you a picture, to start off with... then you'll have to do something with that, and then go to the next 'barrier' and something there, then to the next 'barrier' and finally post the answer in the contest post(not yet made)..

The Winner gets 50 frih$, and if I can get a sponsor.. then I can increase the money! (dont look at my money, 1000 frih$ are reserved for some purpose, basically they are not mine....)

Short Story Competition "Love"

There was an official short story contest a while back (over a year) with the promise of more,but as with all things frihost it was never followed up,so heres an unofficial one.

I thought the best thing would be, was to have some kind of theme that would connect all the stories together,so i thought it best to choose a broad theme that would allow for a wide variety of stories and give more freedom to the writers.

So i chose a one word theme and the theme is "love"

Although prizes aren't that important,as i am sure those entering would enter anyway. I think its only fair to offer some frih for the best entries.

1st: 750 frih 2nd: 250 frih 3rd: 100 frih.

All entries must be sent by pm to me,i will judge them myself unless someone else wants to volunteer their help in the judging of the stories.

In terms of the length of the story you can get an idea of how much to write by looking at the stories submitted to the official frihost story competition HERE.
