URL problem

Fenlock
When I try to link to another webpage, (even in the same directory) I get a 404 error, saying that the page cannot be found.

But when I type in the same URL, with the "/" left off at the end, it works!

I'm using Firefox 3, if that will help at all.

I've also tried to leave off the "/" in my Hyperlinks, in my actually source code, but Firefox seems to automatically add it.

Any help?
rvec
you could remove them with htaccess Razz

Code:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^/(.*)/ /$1 [L]

how do you use htaccess? is it in DirectAdmin? or do i have to write it into my pages, or something like that?
sonam
htaccess is in your root folder (in most situation public_html).
