i usually used the fckeditor (www.fckeditor.net) but i found out that it is not safari-friendly (though they are working on it). I was wondering if anyone knows a good alternative..

why do you want to develop specifically for safari?
or... what sort of problems do you run into with sites using this program and opening with safari? ( Sort of want to know for my own site) i've heard good things about notepad++ ... idk about safari tho... Grimboy
Why would you use an online editor anyway? I recommend dreamweaver if you can use it responsibly and afford it otherwise http://www.mpsoftware.dk/phpdesigner.php would be a brilliant option.

fck editor is the best one that I've seen out there and its open source. it supports almost all languages, and most browsers (except safari). but they are looking for help developing a safari compatible version. maybe you could speed up the process.
