As the title says which image host do you use? I currently use www.imageshack.us Why? The reason I use it is because I can upload as many pictures as I like as often as I like and with a 1024kb image size you can't go wrong. Also you don't have to sign up. You just upload the picture and use the link. The images won't get delete unless that haven't been accessed for a year if I remember correctly.
So which do you use and why?
I used to use my web space, but now i don't have it anymore so i'm using the same as you.
I use www.geekimages.com ..no sign up no membership..good service
That's the first i've heard of that, looks pretty nice! Where did you hear about it?
On another note at the bottom of the page it says this

The text 'CeleronDude' is a link and it has naked women on it! haha just goes to show the theory of your always 3 clicks away from a porn site is true!
I use my web space and imageshack too...
when it's important images, I prefer use my space,
because the image will not be deleted.
http://www.bonafideimg.com
free, no sign up... good person who runs it... great site!
I use my webspace and sometimes upimages.net
unrealwp.frihost.net
Seriously though...enough of these image host threads. Who gives a shit, we have 250 megs and 10 gigs of bandwidth here. Plus, everybody knows of the big ones like imageshack, and for anything else just use google. There have been so many thread like this...on every forum on the internet...

| Please note that Frihost is not a charity. Bandwidth and space are expensive. Do not misuse them. If you installed some software that you no longer use, delete it. Do not make unnecessary back-ups, generating extra traffic. Use a decent image host to host images you want to use in forums instead of using Frihost for these kind of things. |
I'm going to be creating a forum based website. I wanted to find out the different types of image hosting websites first.
Just because we have the bandwidth available doesn't mean we should take advantage. Anyways what happens if someone only wants to browse this forum? It would be a hopeful post?
Okay, lets play nicely now
We all have an opinion on this and each one will think his opinion is correct. So lets just leave it at that. We do not want to hijack the thread and change it into a flamewar.
Let's rather just post useful information about Image Hosts.
Have a nice day !
Pretty much the only image I display on forums is an avatar, which is only like 5 kb so it shouldn't matter. I like having images somewhere safe, rather than some free public image host that could delete or shutdown any moment. If you're really looking for a solid host though, I'd suggest http://pichost.hexxxen.net/
You can host not only pictures, but also vids less than 12 megs and wav files.
I use some space off my free host to store some images I use in "other" sites. But I also recommended photobucket to members of a forum hosted on a freeserver that do not allow file uploads.
I use imagehost.us for all image host so that it remains there for a long time... some free webhosting comes and go but imageshack.us atleast isn't going and coming so frequently...
IMAGESHACK.US is the best Free Service around.
The uploads are as quick as possible and within seconds the image is hosted for billions around thr world to see.
http://imagecabin.com

need more? whatever you feature, they always try to come with it.. great host indeed
any account based image hosts? after all access to some pics must be restricted to external users. dont say Yahoo photos, it's not so nice. Well, any account based image hosts wich allows hotlinking?
hmm...maybe you want to setup a Gallery... not really an image host, i know, but it is awesome
and what abt Flickr?
I use mostly photobucket to host images.
i use photobucket
it is very fast and stable !!
I use imageshack.us too.
Because it can be integrated into my forum too.
You can have iframe inside your forum during posting, though it is not fully integrated, it still looks cool with it.
Fast and easy.. no need for signing up.
I use http://imageshack.us a lot nowadays, mainly for random junk.I still use http://boomspeed.com for my avatar and sig and stuff like that.Since I've been useing it for years and it's a nice little service(only a meg though)
i'm using geocities as my avatar host. it would never get deleted as long as i'm using my email account. and also sometimes i use theimagehut.com and imagedad.com for short time image host. all of them are not bad at all i think
i'm using photobucket.com in hosting my images. and tinypic.com
I use flickr becuase it offers the best options for me.
ImageShack has a handy transload extension for firefox
photobucket.com hasn't failed me.
I use imageshak.us because i was told that it was good and it's easy to use. Anyway i seldom use image host.
I use photobucket.com, picturetrail.com, and imageshack.us, and tinypic - if I'm in a rush and don't feel like logging in to my account.
i'm not using any photos...
maybe i should
but i don't like to be something else
if we had the chance to post ourselves
it would be better
If you live in france ask an account to free.fr ... 1Gb storage ftp and php all without ads and FREE .
I use photo bucket but I used to use Wikipedia (No I'm just kidding) The reason? Well its the first service provider I fell upon when I wanted to upload images on the net, I've been using it for over 1 year now but I may consider changing that.
I use photobucket, you do have to sign up but it's well worth it.
Hummm well...
I guess I've been mildly ignorant to what image host sites were available.
I currently use VillagePhotos, and I've noticed not one person has mentioned it... makes me wonder if there's much better options out there. Should check out these ones that have been posted.
(Not inducing a "VillagePhotos sucks because..." hi-jack here... I'm just curious now and will do my own research)
I use imageshack.us . A reliable and fast image hosting site. Somemore it doesn't need to register and allow direct linking.
I've only used Photobucket for my images so far. I liked it, so there was no need to try other services.
Imageshack alll the way, i have no troubles with it so im not gonna change
i use imageshack too because photobucket has limited uploading
I've been uploading my stuff to http://www.imagehost.org/ - they've closed down, but since I have a cookie in my computer from that site, I've been able to keep uploading stuff to it since I'm a "returning member". If I'm on a computer where I can't use ImageHost.org, I use http://www.imageshack.us/
.
