Just where did the battle take place in 1485

WhistleTurning
Just revisited after many years the site of the last battle in the war of the Roses (UK) 22/8/1485. Despite having been lots written about this battle the actual site is unknown, and there are three main theories for position of the site. However it is definite that dickie3 got chopped up and Henry 7th (famous wife changers pa) started off the reign of the Tudors.

The Battle Centre has become quite impressive with lots to do and see. Kids can try on items of armour such as chain mail (very heavy) and various helmets, as well as various interactive things to keep you busy. They are also building a medieval village (two/three houses done at present). If you visit at certain times you can also ride on a train pulled by a steam engine and have a sail down the Ashby canal in a narrow boat.

Lots to do therefore for all the family and it won't necessitate taking out a second mortgage.

AHH almost forgot to say just where this is all happening-Near Market Bosworth in Leicestershire, closest village being Shenton
