Problem with databases

Hi, i recently updated my blog http://ihatedesign.frih.net/blog/ and in time when im writing the post the database back to yesterday.

i lose a comment and a changes in plugins, and since my blog is in spanish, the "" and "" dont appear correct.

please someone tell me whats wrong.

its something about the chinese script?

You will need to define the database character for the database characters as a latin1_spanish_ci. The default for some servers are utf8_unicode_ci.

I faced this kind of problem before. All my datas were completely wrong until I changed the code into gbk_chinese_ci, and import my data backup.

Thanks for the info, I had the same problem! Lucky I saved the database onto my computer before I dropped the tables and started new.
