Also it makes the joke funnier if you think it is science when you watch the beginning of the vid...
They actually did these experiments back in the 50s and 60s, primarily studying the effects of LSD on orb weavers and the webs they built while on the drugs. Most of the research was conducted by Peter Witt from the Department of Pharmacology, State University of New York, and associates.

That was so funny because it was so realistic in the beginning. Then I slowly realized the the video was actually turning into a joke. I cant believe how many views intoxicated spiders can draw.
