we bought a dvd burner a while ago it worked fine at first but after about four months it start burning slower even slower than the old one we have what could be cousing this problem? could that be because we stop using it for about 2 mosnths?

No, probably not. Try changing the burning speed (from something like 4x to 14x or higher). If that doesn't fix it then try to return it to where you bought it, although it's 6 months later they might exchange it for another one of the same brand.
there's a probability its because of ur system. check for viruses and other issues with ur system. i doubt its got anything to do with dvd burner since its still in the working condition.
