Who should play on Wednesday then? After Saturday it's difficult, because although the scoreline looked impressive, the performance for most of the game was lacking.

Defoe scored a good goal when he came on, but is yet to prove himself against better opposition. Another problem is Defoe works best playing off a tall target man, as he does with Crouch at Portsmouth. To accomodate him, you'd have to play him alongside Heskey or Crouch, but that will mean finding somewhere else for Rooney to play. Here's a possibility.
