Photos of my newly restored Lambretta...

wellerchap
...just finished a 6 months full strip & rebuild.
I painted it myself (though in truth, the quality is not too good) and the stripes are taken straight from the design of my favourite jumper!
It's a 1958 Lambretta (Li150 with a 186cc upgraded barrel & piston), so the old boy's 50 years old now.
The photos were taken (about 3 miles from my house in northern England) enroute to it's MOT test and as yet has no registration plate as it can't be registered until it passed the test (which it did).

I like your paint job! It fits in with the styling perfectly, but still adds in an extra flare.

That's way cool!
Does it have an ignition key or just a switch?

What is your favorite feature?

Originally fitted with a "stop" button, but I've fitted a key ignition switch for a bit more peace of mind.

The paint was a quick do-it-yourself job...sprayed in my drive with a borrowed compressor.
Close-up there are runs in the paint and the edges of the stripes are rough in parts where the tape "lifted" a little. However, I'm happy with how he looks & soo it'll be tatty anyway, as I'll be riding it 40 miles per day every week to go to work & back.
After one or two teething problems with the carburation I now have things ticking along nicely & got the old fellow to the coast and back on saturday (170 miles round trip).
Here's "Stripey George" by the sea! Very Happy
