A recent story on CBS has recently revealed how the hunt for Osama Bin Laden by the CIA was nixed for some unknown reasons!

Seems like the Afghan warlords initially supported the offensive in Tora Bora, where Bin Laden was supposed to be hiding, but, at the last moment turned against the CIA forces so that their mission wouldn't be a success in any manner.
In addition, it seems like the higher ups vetoed some offensive strategies which might have helped in the real capture. This seems likely to provide fodder for all the conspiracy theories! What is your opinion?
