facing problem in converting from phpBB 2 forum to phpBB 3

I thought it was an issue with frihost so i posted there. But I think it may also be something related with php or MySQL since thats the forum & database are using.



P.S. I wish i could had some means to create a soft link to that topic here.

Have you made sure that all of the phpBB files are uploaded? What you can do to check is just dump everything on the server and go "skip for existing files" and it'll upload anything that you or the FTP client has missed. Does happen sometimes. I take it everything was "available" on the checklist thing?

It could be a number of things... I've spent probably about a 100 hours over the years messing around with phpBB problems.

(I take it you are using 3.0.2?)


EDIT:
I presume you've tried the official phpBB community? They usually sort stuff out pretty quick.

Well, yes that surely helped. I had seen something similar while searching on phpbb.com and yes online conversion option is still available. But I am on a limited bandwidth plan on my isp so i didnt wanted to download the whole database. But, i guess that might be what i would need to do.
