Necessity is the mother of invention: mirrors!

ocalhoun
So, I decided to take the doors and side panels off of my jeep:

But then I'm depressed about having to put the doors right back on again before going on a paved road; you are legally required to have a driver's side mirror in order to be street legal, and mine are attached to the doors:

But then, I get very lucky and notice the driver's side door of a geo prizm that somebody dumped out here. I get an idea, and with a few well-placed kicks, separate the mirror off of that door. It was very lucky that I found that door there. It was the only one I saw all day, and happened to be there at the right place and time.

I then get creative with some blousing straps (elastic bands with hooks on the ends) and get it attached.

Now I'm perfectly street legal, and can go on any paved road I want to! ... Er, as soon as I find one again, that is:

So, what do you think of my spur-of-the-moment invention?

Don't they sell kits to mount the mirrors on the sides of Wranglers? My little brother got a Jeep, and he's getting those side-mounted mirrors so he can ride with the doors off.

^Well, they do sell kits, but there wasn't a store handy.

In my opinion ... very cool, that is having a wrangler is already nice, but whiteout having it used properly u become a jerk, and you are definitely not ! Give some photo rapport from some hardcore sandy slopes, or muddy terrain that you meet in woods.
I like this king of entertainment, specially with some company!

Or, you might find one on the side of the road for free! ^.^

I think in Brazil you would get a fine anyway. that is a law here that prevents people from changing the basic characteristics of the vehicles. And taking out the car's doors would probably be the case.

Confused Evil or Very Mad
That means I won't be going to Brazil!

This is what I drive now:

And this is what it originally looked like:

That's a big change in characteristics!

In fact it is quite a change!

Although we find stupid restrictions, there are nice things to see aroud here. So, come to Brazil... but don't bring your jeep! Laughing

Twisted Evil I've tried it, it isn't fun!

It is safer to flip than any other stock vehicle on the road though. Note the roll bars! It has heavy steel bars, intended for the full weight of the truck. Other vehicles protect your head with only a thin sheet of metal, easily crunched.
