Basketball is, in my opinion, ONE of the best sports ever invented! I especially love street basketball! Hot Sauce FTW! Seriously, the way the move the ball and all the tricks they invent, damn they got some skillz! I also , kinda, invented some of my own tricks, i don't know if they will work on people in a basketball game though. =] i'm still sort of noob though but gonna keep practicin and get pro! I also love NBA! Allen iverson and KObe Bryant are a couple of my favourite players!

I played street basketball years before somebody came up with the idea to commercialize it. Where I lived, there were a lot of basketball courts -- of all sizes -- in every street corner.

The NBA is my favorite basketball league, but I seldom see Laker and Celtic games in our cable.

I love the NBA as well. As far as I am concerned though there is only one team that matters... The Jazz!!! I know, I know, the Lakers have Kobe, and the Cav's have Lebron. But come on, nobody has as much fluidity and rhythm, otherwise known as execution, in their team as the Jazz. Of course I'm from Utah, so my viewpoint is biased but so what? I still think that John Stockton was the best point guard pound for pound in the history of the game. He truly deserves to end up in the hall of fame.

After Malone-Stockton it will take some time before the Jazz reach championship level. But they are a good team.

I've gone into the basketball last year as our school got a new coach. He was training us like a real beast... and this year our form's team won two school awards in basketball and we're going to get one in football ^_^
kirba
Yeah basketball is one great sport. I train it my self. And i also love NBA. My favorite team is LA Lakers, and it has been like that since i first heard about NBA. I hope they will manage to win NBA this season.

NBA Street is a basketball video game developed by EA Canada. It was released in 2001 for the PlayStation 2 and in 2002 for the GameCube. It combines the talent and big names of the NBA with the attitude and atmosphere of streetball. NBA Street was followed by NBA Street Vol. 2, NBA Street V3, and the recently released NBA Street Homecourt.

NBA Street consisted of three-on-three basketball games. Players try to collect trick points, which are scored through the use of good ballhandling, faking out defenders, pump faking, blocking, stealing, diving for the ball, shooting from long range, and of course dunking and alley-oops. If a team fills their meter through flashy and effective gameplay, they get to perform a Gamebreaker, which is a special shot that not only adds to their score, but it subtracts an equal amount from the opponents' score. It also includes the option of creating your own baller.

In every game of the series there have been drastic improvements to the overall gameplay. Throughout all the games the basics have been improved, such as dribbling, more creative dunks, more outfits to choose from, soundtrack, adding more teams, etc. Also, as with most games in a video game series, the more recent games have had much better graphics than the earlier games. The most recent game in the series, NBA Street Homecourt, can be played in fully High Definition which adds realism to the experience.

In the game's storymode, there are unlockable fantasy bosses (Legends).:

* Biggs - Labeled as a big powerhouse from London who is also a heavyweight boxer. He can block well, but if you try to battle your way against him you're gonna lose.
* Bonafide - A spectacular ball handler who resembles Allen Iverson.
* Drake - A great 3 point shooter with great ball handling. He may not be the best dunker but he comes in strong when he shoots.
* DJ - A multi-talented dunker. This Jamaican dude is the highflyer and does his job when he needs to.
* Takashi - A shot-swatter. Japanese player who also largely resembles (Yao Ming) except he's taller. This giant can swat you without jumping.
* Stretch - Bears a strong resemblance to Julius Erving. There is nobody better than the teacher. He is so good that he's in all the streets. He may be use to the old school, but he will teach you something.
* Michael Jordan - An NBA legend who played for the Chicago Bulls.

The Lakers may as well be the team to get the championship this year. Kobe is hungry and so is the rest of the team.

I am also a Lakers fan, but I'd take it round per round on this. The round against the Houston Rockets would be a good series. But I think the Lakers will move on past Houston.

It is not going to be an easy ride, though. Derek Fisher will be out for game 3.

How can a sport where "Goaltending" is a foul... be considered a real sport....

I don't understand the attraction

I think it is one of those cases where one can say "de gustibus non disputatur" -- one does not debate on questions of taste. I played soccer as a kid but the interest never really caught on. I started basketball late, and I found it more worth my while.

So which team do you think will advance for the world championships? Is it going to be Denver or LA? Or should I say: which team is going to face the Cavs?
mgeek
I pick L. A. Bryant wants to prove something.
kirba
Don't sing Orlando that fast. I know cavs play outstanding but Magics are good also, and they proved this season that they can beat top teams.

One more thing

Lakers - Denver 1 -0 Very Happy

It was more difficult then expected but win is there. I thing next one match will be easier one.

I have to agree. The Magics now lead their series 1-0 and it looks very interesting. They proved today that they are not pushovers.

it was a quite a good game, Cavs will now have to make harder in order to even series to 1-1

James score 49 points but that was still not enough.

We are going to watch very interesting series Very Happy
kirba
Now Cavs won 96-95. Turkoglu scored 1 second until end 2 points from jump shot and Orlando was in lead 95-93 but that one second was enough for James to score 3 points and to even series.

Today is Lakers @ Denver game. Denver managed to win last game in Staples Center so Kobe and company will be searching for win.

When you sum all up we haven't had more exciting playoff in a long time
kirba
And Lakers won 103 - 97 @ Denver Very Happy

Kobe scored 41 and Gasol added 20, while for Denver Carmelo was top scorer with 21 points.

Denver had advantage until last quarter (they won first three) but 4th one ended 31-18 for Lakers which was enough for win.
mtorregiani
I watched half of yesterday match.
Denver had the match controlled, but then Kobe appeared and it was magnificent...

Kobe is one of the greates players, but in my opinion, LeBron is way better.
mgeek
It was a bad loss for the Lakers today. It almost became a blowout with JR Smith doing the most damage. Kobe and Gasol could only do so much; the other Laker players weren't doing any real good for the team's efforts in Game 4. I hope they do better in Game 5.
angfrayle
I was really surprised that the Cavs were not able to get one over Orlando. Now they are 2 games down. In the West it is still 2-2 with the Lakers hosting the Nuggets next.
kirba
Finals

Lakers - Orlando

Lakers have advantage of home court Smile

It will be very interesting finals, and i hope that Lakers will win it, even though i wouldn't be sad if Orlando takes it.
mgeek
The Lakers have the experience. I hope that Orlando is really hungry for a championship. Otherwise, Bryant will have a new championship ring. I wish that the Lakers win. They started the decade with three straight championships. I'd like to see them end the decade with two more.

I like basketball ,a really great game ,I love it without reasons^^

Streetball is not the same as the NBA.....or even college basketball. They basically don't
follow the rules and do whatever they want....pass to themselves, travel, throw the ball off
people. Now they have a lot of athletic ability and a lot of basketball skills. However, put
them against a good D-I college team with real refs that are going to call a real game, and
I think the college team wins.
bibol
I played streetball for about 8 years so far. I started to play in basketball high school and i was shocked how different it was. BUt still I love this game!

I think NBA certainly has talented players, but they mostly show-boats. College BBall is a much purer sport and as a result I enjoy it better. Players are out there proving their talent not showing off their tattoos. The college rivalry is more appealing too. The only thing good about NBA is they don't have as much trading and excessive salaries as Baseball...but they're getting there.
