Crazy Sarah Palin's cult & "spirit of witchcraft

handfleisch
Watch this video. Sarah Palin was in this crazy church most of her life (since adolescence) and just 4 years ago was onstage getting blessed by the wacko to protect her from "the spirit of witchcraft". She looks like a cult member in this video!

For those unwilling to sit through the whole thing, highlights:

5:00: “We need God taking over our education system. If we have God in our schools, we will not have our kids being taught how to worship Buddha, how to worship Muhammad. We will not have in the curriculum witchcraft and sorcery.”

5:35: “The other area is the media. We need believers in the media. We need God taking over the media in our lives.”

7:00: Really weird: Palin is now on stage and being fully blessed by Crazy Witchfighter Guy to be God’s instrument in government. He’s praying that Palin be used as a tool to combat witchcraft.

Oh lordy is this weird stuff. God, if you truly do love us, you will not let this woman anywhere near the levers of power in this country.

This video has already been discredited. The words are coming from someone off-camera, not the pastor.

she still believes in creationism in this day and age. And believes it should be taught at school.
jmi256
So that arguement makes this fake video real?

That's not even a good lie. Did you invent this statement out of thin air?

The video is real, it has been verified everywhere, and more and more news outlets are running with it.
Here are just a few links to media covering the story.

No. I wasn't that interested in the election until a couple weeks ago. Then McCain started the sleaziest campaign in history, Palin was nominated, Pakistan started shooting at US troops, and the economy started collapsing. So now I am intent on keeping the wacko extremists out of the White House.

Is Palin's lifelong church another Waco cult? Palin's pastor says that Alaska is a "refuge state" "prophesied years ago"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecxj1C1xJWA

Palin's lifelong Pastor Ed Kalnins, Wasilla Assembly of God

"People from around the world will be coming to the state of Alaska to get something from God". "There's some states that God considered as refuge states". I've heard prophesied over the years, one is Wisconsin and the other one is um there's one other one in the lower 48 and the other one that was prophesied years ago and has been echoed along the way is Alaska where God gonna uh basically reserve them for for a place of refuge because uh the earth is groaning for the return of God"

More here about Palin's cultish church http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9W3XCp5yXQ

Is this what we want a heartbeat away from the presidency?

And this thread isn't sleazy?
handfleisch
No, this thread isn't sleazy. Why do you ask?
ocalhoun
^because you criticize McCain's campaign for being sleazy, right in the middle of a thread that, depending on your opinion, might be considered a sleazy attack itself.

What's sleazy about using [laughable] direct quotes from an individual that might be our President at some point? Quotes that clearly show she has no place in governing from the highest office in the world...
handfleisch
liljp617 answered for me. Thanks.

Sleazy was making a lying ad about Obama and sex (ed) for kindergartners. That was the sleaziest moment in modern US political history.

Airing a church's own video of Palin's actual participation in a fringe religion? That's just showing it like it is.

It's not a "lie" and not out of "thin air." It's called common sense, which you obviously lack. You're just trying to spread false rumors. The video is fake. Anyone can see that.

1. It may look like Sarah Palin in the video, but there is no way to tell. It may just be someone with the hair style and glasses.

2. The sound is obviously dubbed, and rather poorly. The pastor's mouth movements aren't even in sync with the sound and whoever dubbed it didn't even bother to cut the real sound out. So if you listen to the background, you can hear some of the real sound.

3. The "news stories" you link to are the same story just carried over the AP wire. Most online news sites just subscribe to the feed from the AP and insert whatever comes across the wire into their template. The writer of the story is some reporter from Alaska named GARANCE BURKE, who is a leftist/liberal operative and writes tons of yellow press trying to smear conservatives.

Nice try, but people are too smart to fall for that crap.

You're very wrong. Palin is on record referring to this blessing ceremony with Pastor Muthee.
Palin says, “As I was mayor and Pastor Muthee was here and he was praying over me, and you know how he speaks and he’s so bold. And he was praying ‘Lord make a way, Lord make a way.’…He said ‘Lord make a way and let her do this next step. And that’s exactly what happened.’” http://minnesotaindependent.com/9247/palin-credits-witch-hunting-pastor-with-her-run-to-the-governors-office
So that proves you wrong, right there. Besides that, there is no issue that it is a real video. Palin hasn't contested it, the church hasn't contested it, the preacher hasn't contested it.
Here is an apparently good source (it seems to link to credible news sources, I mean) http://dailysource.org/palin.

To sum up, Palin admits it, the church doesn't deny it (and I believe even the pastor has spoken about it (though he didn't remember Palin specifically. I have run down enough links and proof for you, so it's your turn.)

The question is, how did you get it so wrong?

If you can't look at that video and see that it's fake, there's just no way to argue with you. You must be an idiot to not see it. I don't need some links to validate common sense and my own two eyes/ears. You're obviously just trying to start/continue some fake rumors.

BTW... I like your logic that since the church and Palin don't take time from more important things to deny the video, it must be true. They also haven't issued any denials that little green men are behind 9/11, so that must be true too, huh? What size tinfoil hat do you wear, btw?

Keep spewing your fake "news." Like I said earlier, people are too smart to fall for that crap.
As a great Republican once said, "You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all the people all of the time." -- Abraham Lincoln

Making fun of you aside, I honestly feel sorry for you that you've been forced to such low, sleazy tactics. What would Obama say?
handfleisch
Well, troll-jmi256, it's interesting to see you go from being wrong to flat-out lying and/or delusion. Have you never seen a youtube video where the sound and motion were a bit off? How far do you go in this fantasy world of yours? Are the legitimate news sources carrying the story part of the hoax? What about all the other videos of Palin on that church stage (like the one where she says that the Iraq war was a task "from God") -- are they all fakes too? Does Pastor Kulnins with his ""There's some states that God considered as refuge states" -- is that video fake too? Does the entire church not exist either?

Have fun in your conspiracy world of fake Palin videos while the rest of the country deals with this issue as the reality it is.

I checked out the video, and I have to agree that it looks a little fake. If it was real, why wouldn't it be on the front cover of every news paper?

Not to hijack your thread, but I encourage everyone to send a message and vote for Hillary! You can vote for her as a writein and let them know that we won't be silenced!

Nice hijack. Well the Hillary cult is not as bad as Palin's witchhunting fundamentalist wacko one.
petercha
So what? This type of thing is a common occurrence in many Pentecostal churches. Big deal.
achowles
Even if this video was true I don't see why it would be particularly surprising. Keeping concerns about witchcraft quiet is only a very recent development in the Church's history. In any case, I don't see how it really makes Sarah Palin's beliefs any more batty than we already knew them to be.

I do however share the sentiment that she should be kept well away from any position of real power and the presidency.
