McCain Aide’s Firm Was Paid by Freddie Mac

handfleisch
WASHINGTON-- One of the giant mortgage companies at the heart of the credit crisis paid $15,000 a month to a firm owned by Senator John McCain’s campaign manager from the end of 2005 through last month, according to two people with direct knowledge of the arrangement. The disclosure contradicts a statement Sunday night by Mr. McCain that the campaign manager, Rick Davis, had no involvement with the company for the last several years.

If you are insinuating that the republicans are the only party in the pockets of Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac, you may want to read the following article. It appears that many democrats have accepted rather large amounts of money over the years from both Fannie and Freddie:

Apparently big business will spread its money to any party willing to take it and both parties are more than willing to accept it.

Yes I agree, the whole system is messed up. I put the OP out there to counteract the RW propaganda that only Obama could be tied to this mess.

Still, nothing can save McCain from his self-proclaimed "Mr Deregulator" image, now that deregulation is causing the economic mess.

I think the point that most people understand from the mess is that Obama PERSONALLY got kickbacks and benefited from Fannie Mae.

I didn't see McCain's name anywhere on that list, but I did see that Obama was the third highest recipient of contributions/bribes from Fannie Mae and received over $105,000. Interesting.
