[RESOLVED] How to have my own blogs

I just installed b2evo using fantastisco (pardon me if spelling is wrong)

I want my friends to visit it and get registered so that they too can blog on my site. I got the admin panel and I can write the blogs.

But what is the link that I should tell my friends to visit?
suppose my site address is

www.abcd.frihost.com

blogmanager is installed as


www.abcd.frihost.com/blogm

please help

I would use the second option, unless the first is your portal site.

Well, just give them the link to your blogis supposed to be a link where you can create your own blog...

And as Bondings said, if you have a portal site, then give them the portal site (be sure to have the link to your blog in your portal).

If you do not have the portal site.

I suggest placing this in public_html.

Create a file called .htaccess

Inside place.

DirectoryIndex blog


Blog as in the directory where your blog is. It is case sensetive.

I have a portal site.
Nobody seems to get my problem.

my actual site is

akshar.frihost.com

whenever i visit
www.akshar.frihost.com/blogm/index.php

I get an error. WHY?
but www.akshar.frihost.com/blogm/admin/index.php
WORKS. I can write my blog through it.

My friend n00b wants to write his own blogs on my site. I tell him

visit the following link
http://xyz....
register, login and write ur blog.

Now what is that http://xyz.... ?

Is it
www.akshar.frihost.com/blogm/admin/index.php OR something else?


Sorry this question assumes the lowest possible LCM of ur IQs

Akshar, if there is a problem, always mention the url in question like you did now. It can solve a lot, you know.

In your case, your url is http://www.akshar.frihost.net/blogm/ , with .net instead of .com.

For information. We don't give .com subdomains because this website might one day move to another server. (this might make the .com subdomains not working anymore in here and I don't want to take the risk)

I hope you meant "to another frihost server". Otherwise its hard to imagine why would that happen..lol

And if so then its good to see that you are planning on expansion etc because with 250 mb space to everyone we might get short of resources in near future afterall every hard disk has a limit.

another open source blog cms...hmmm the layout looks like word press.

well its your choice ...but if im am you..use the fantastico pre installed scripts...they are the best scripts... Wink
