Not bad. Could really use some lighting fixes in there, and then you would have yourself a nice looking flower.

Its a nice image but it definitely isn't finished. It almost looks like a cross between an explosion and a flower. Some more work could go into this to give it a more definite shape. In a sense, the ambiguous nature makes the image nice as well, though. I would like to see a tutorial as well.

If you changed the color of the red to like a blue, and the yellow to a really dark Grey, you might get yourself something that looks just like an eye. Just an idea.

Ah, the greatness of serendipitous photoshopping. I've made many a great things by mistake, or from just fooling around when bored.
