Booting From XP install CD

Possum
Hi

I have booted many times from the XP CD so I can format / partition and install XP.

I am helping a friend to do this. But his computer does not boot to the CD. I went to the BIOS and made sure the CD player was in the boot sequence.

The CD PLAYER works well..

I wonder what is wrong.?

Cheers Possum..

While the PC is getting boot press F11 continuously.

After few seconds you will get the list of drives on your PC, select CD-ROM for the list and the PC will be boot from the CD. If you select CD-ROM from the list and your PC doesn't boot then the problem is with the CD and it's not bootable.
