Hi. How are you?
I'm interested in the emergence of live, and to a lesser extent pre recorded, music 'webcasts'. I'd be damned grateful if anyone could point out any such sites.
Here's the best examples I have found, of dedicated sites:
http://www.fabchannel.com
Fabchannel has a huge list of entire performances
by anyone from unsigned bands to award winning bands, to the B-52s (heh, they're still playing live!).
Based in the Netherlands I think, alot of the gigs are in Amsterdam, at the Paradiso.
http://www.pitchforkmedia.com
This is a good U.S. site. At 'Pitchfork.tv' (in the menu on the left)
you can access listed gigs, rehearsals, and interviews. Silver Jews, NIN, Dirty Projectors,
David Byrne... eerrr what else... wierd stuff.
Best thing is they do a live stream of the Pitchfork Festival.
(any problems with reaching these links then let me know, will help you if I can)
This is good, what I'm interested in; live music webcasts. If its a one off concert remember to leave dates and times. Watch out for copyright issues, not particularly interested in AOL/MTV videos. Style and quality ratings maybe?
THANKS
