gamecube emulator

lashaun
i have an hp pavilion 514n. it has an intel celeron 2.3gz processor. 256mb memory, 160gb hard drive. i have a gamecube emulator with a couple of games for it but its only running at 1.25fps because of my slow computer. what do i have to upgrade to get it running faster? i know i need memory but what about my processor?

The processor should be fine. The memory is the real limiting factor with your machine. But this ought to be in the computer hardware section, not in the games board. Why are you even mentioning that you're using a gamecube emulator? Those things are sorta illegal you know.

your ram is silly bad, if you have no graphics card, that's also phale.

The specs for a gamecube is:
Code:
CPU: 128-bit custom IBM Gekko PowerPC (485MHz)
GPU: ATI Flipper (162MHz)
Graphics: Chip developed by NEC
RAM: 24MB 1T-SRAM, 16MB DRAM
Colors: 16.7 million on screen
Polygons: 20 million per second
Game Media: 1.5GB 8cm optical disk developed by Matsushita/Panasonic
Resolution: 640x480 pixels
Sound: 16-bit Macronix DSP Sound Processor

So your computer should cover it, remember to add 30% to allow for background programmes.

Also, have you tried setting the process' priority to realtime in the task manager?
