To occidentals who support Tibet’s independence:
You who get even a cent directly or indirectly from the organizations support Tibet’s independence(short for TI) needn’t to read anymore. If you are, I’m whistle jigs to a milestone, this letter will never be more important than dollars!
Firstly, I want to tell you something happened in Tibet on April 14th. You think that was a revolt? Or a turbulence? Whatever, I don’t wish to argue that yet, that’s for government to define. What I want to tell you is that this event led to more than ten deaths of citizens and one death of police in Lasa, five young girls were burnt to death alive on the second floor of a rent house! That must be the most severe crime in any legal nation. Did your media or governments mention you that? Or did they treat that seriously? To what I know, they didn’t. Why? That was a small case? More than ten families would fall into endless pain and hundreds of families had lost all their properties! Where were their rights to exist? Where were their rights of property? Your medias and governments did nothing but told you our government was “suppressing revolt” and asked our government to forbear. What a joke! Arresting criminals is “suppressing”? Can you forbear such crimes? Isn’t it bias? What I said has just told you one aspect of the truth, which is true but you won’t be happy to know: you are brainwashed as you believed what had happened to us! If you think it a bit reasonable of what I said, please put down what you were told for a moment, search truth with your own eyes, judge things with your own mind. For justice, you should never merely trust sound from only one access.
Secondly, what are organizations for TI? Tibet was, and will be part of China all the time, just like Northern Ireland to England, Basque to Spain, Chechnya to Russia. Because of historic reasons, the independent force had existed for a long time, and they were supported by hostile foreign nations too—which is no longer a secret. We also know very clearly that certain occidental counties hope China to be a divided country. Tibet problem is one of their tool (you can read 《American Foreign Policy》,Volume 1964-1968 ,number337 , “memorandum of special group” to support my argue ). But we have 1.3billion Chinese people, that’s one fifth of the earth’s population, say “NO!” firmly to such things, what means the desire for TI will never succeed! Is supporting such a fruitless and aggressive campaign useful? Or it’s a more helpful choice to live with us peacefully and friendly?
Some say that we Chinese are taking away your resources, producing pollution and other things. Who told you that? Your medias? Or governments again? I’m so sorry to hear that you get to know the world only from your own government and medias, what will surely influence your judgment. But to what I know, we went to search oil from the place your countries had already given up, and we succeeded. What we do for environment now is much better than what occidentals countries had done during their industrialization, and we are working hard to be even better. Even if we had already competed with your country for something, have you ever thought why? Developed countries, take away three quarter of the world’s resource for only one fifth of the world’s population. Is that fair? Some may say that people in developed countries are more advance, so they deserve to get that. Doesn’t it sound like what Hitler said more than 60 year ago? Need I mention them what happened to that madman finally? What we want is no more than what we deserve to get, and we are strong enough to ask for our share. I hope you understand we are not what we were, and you won’t afford the loss if you continue ignoring what we feel.
Finally, about the Olympic Games. Do you know what Olympic Games and the fire symbolize? In ancient Greek, when Olympic Games came along, every cities must stop the war between each other and send their best athletes to compete the games. The Sacred Fire of Olympic was delivered from one city to another to announce the coming of peace. We are holding the 2008 Olympic Games to send our desire for peace, but what you are doing is rejecting the peace! Don’t you want peace? If you don’t, I can inform you right here as the representative of 1.3billion Chinese citizens:We love peace but we are fearless for war! We defeat the “UN Armies” in Korea in 1950s even when we were much weaker than they were. And we are sure to beat them again much more resplendently as we are much stronger now. Friend or enemy? That depends on your choice.

I think you misunderstand the rule of using quote boxes and quoting your sources.

I checked the text, using my normal tools, and found no matches. I therefore conclude it is original and no quote tags are needed.
I make no comment as to the quality of the posting other than to say that if I were posting in Chinese I doubt my posting would be as comprehensible as this one. Smile

I support you, brother!

We, Chinese, we just want to let you see the truth that had happened in Tibet.

The truth will tell you who should be blame.

Talk what you want but not to tell lies .

Try submitting some sort of tangible or evident proof; for some reason it's more convincing than poo-throwing.

I have to agree. I see a lot of evidence (like, pictures) supporting the Tibet Protestors side. I would want some evidence from your side (from reputable sources) before I seriously start debating this topic in both my mind and on the forum.

Truth in China is what the government wants to show or tell it may be FARRRRRR from reality.
Destroying Tibetan identity and culture is not preached but practiced by the Chinese government.
paul_indo
If the Chinese government is not suppressing peoples rights why is the internet and media access so restricted in China?
atul2242
I recently met many young Chinese people. They are all proud of their country and don't like it being criticized..... but that does not change reality.
gandalfthegrey
You are ignorant.

You let your patriotism for China blind you from the truth.

1. No one is against the Chinese people or culture; People are against the Totalitarian Communist regime that is in power.

2. Tibet independence is not about the historical place of Tibet. (Which you claim as being historically in China, which as times it has, and others times has been a completely independent Buddhist nation, similar to Bhutan or Sikkim (an Indian province that was once a independent nation)

Tibet's independence is more about religious persecution.

I've seen people lof Chinese decent like yourself trying to spread pro-China propaganda; be it on facebook or handouts on the street. But what you fail to realize is that no one is buying it!!! Your logic, grammer and spelling is, how do I put it, childish? Boo hoo!

Is it patriotism, or dogmatism, or a hoax? China is such an enormous country and I have met the most wonderful patriots who rarely mention politics as they are always courteous and correct, almost to a fault especially in the presence of foreigners. Think the posting by the dogmatist puzzles me. Has it really been posted by someone from China?
atul2242
Yes ! I have to acknowledge that the Chinese I met were young and very polite.

China is a large country . China's large population and poor economy makes it so different to other country . How to govern people is a big problem . Not all the things on the internet is good , we must reject it . I don't think you allow your ten-year-old son to surf nasty website . You have your own way to teach your son and others will not to intervene because no one know your son more then you . China have it's own way too .

That is correct but in China you do not have that choice as the government makes it for you, based on what is good for them not what is good for the people.

This is rather a revealing post. It reveals a fundamental difference between you, as a Chinese person, and me, as an English/European person.
You refer to 'we' in the national sense - as in 'we must reject it'. Most Europeans I know would not speak in those terms about their country. You also seem to be comparing the state to a 'father' figure - a paternalistic protector who keeps the 'children' protected. That is quite alien to most Europeans and I find the comparison rather worrying, and a little bit spooky.
spring567
Maybe I need to live in European for some time to know your life and your thoughts .

Maybe those kind of lies don't count.

Maybe stealling intellectual property and manufacturing black market goods are OK too.

BTW don't delete this post as I am not promoting or giving information to assist in DVD piracy, I am simply stating the reality of the situation in Indonesia.
Tounge in cheek.
