Java2 Noob Question

coreymanshack
Ok, I'm trying to program a java interface, it's going to be basically a mud-like game, with images though. Is it possible to create a "hyperlink" or something like that in java. For example, I would like to click on an image in my java program, and it change something.

Could someone point me in the right direction.
Or is there a way to make the Java swing buttons have no padding, can I just make the image fill the whole button?
Can I make my own button class without swing?

All of these could be possible solutions to my problem.

You can use a Button that looks like an image. You can add images to JButton or, maybe better, override the paint function on a Button.

You can add an ActionListener to your button to capture clicks on it.

Thanks for answering my question, but how do i override the paint function on a button?
I'm still a n00b and I don't know how to do a lot of advanced things. Any help would be appreciated, thanks again.
