Microsoft Exchange - mailbox removal

Hi everyone. I'm a complete newb when it comes to Exchange Server.

I accidentally deleted the active directory user before removing the exchange mailbox using Exchange tasks. How do I now remove the mailbox from Exchange System Manager?

Find the mailbox in Exchange System Manager.
Highlight the mailstore that contains the mailbox in question.
Right-click the mailstore and select Run Cleanup Agent.
Wait a few seconds and then refresh the window.
A red circle with a white X should appear on the mailbox.
If you want to delete the mailbox at this point, right-click the mailbox and select purge mailbox.
