HTTPS and SSL??

pollux1er
I want to implement SSL on my web site. How can i start to realize it. Thanks in avance to help me.
MrBlueSky
Do you want to do this on Frihost? That isn't possible, because you need to install an additional apache module and openssl, and have apache listen to port 443 (or another port) besides port 80.

If you want SSL with your own server you have to install mod_ssl and openssl.
pollux1er
how do i install that modssl? And please can you post me a better link to download openssl. I have already dowloaded modssl, but openssl is not good.
MrBlueSky
Are you on Windows or Linux?
pollux1er
Windows, using easyphp!
MrBlueSky
Hmm, I don't know how easy (or hard) it is to setup ssl with easyphp. Maybe it is easier to install and use XAMPP: it comes with openssl and mod_ssl and is very easy to install.
pollux1er
I presume that you are working under Linux?

First you need to have dedicated ip, if you are creating you own ssl certificate, than you can generate it with openssl package, but in this case browsers of you visitors shuld not trust you repository. If you want sign you site with trusted repository than you need make deals to them, for example godaddy.
