SALARY INCREASE?
An employee sent a letter to his boss asking for an increase in his salary -
Dear Bo$$
In thi$ life, we all need $ome thing$ mo$t de$perately. I think you $hould be under$tand the need$ of u$ worker$ who have given $o much $upport including $weat and $ervice to your company. I am $ure you will gue$$ what I mean and re$pond $oon, and po$itively!
Your$ $incerely,
Norman $oh
The next day, the employee recieved this reply:
Dear NOrman,
I kNOw you have been working very hard. NOwadays, NOthing much has changed. You must have NOticed that our company is NOt doing NOticeably well as yet.
NOw the newspaper are saying the world`s leading ecoNOmists are NOt sure if the United States may go into aNOther recession. After the NOvember presidential elections things may turn bad.
I have NOthing more to add NOw. You kNOw what I mean.
Yours truly,
Manager
Enjoy working
I think the guy used too much "$" sign and that scared the employer.
So, when you ask for an increase, don't be greedy.
Yes even i agree with you, in this topic.
so funny, too original this guy is!!!
Yea what novel way to ask for a raise. Unfortunately this would look rather sad if it was done in sterling

Doesn't have the same impact
on a tangent, anyone know what the law is for Quebec, Canada for salary increase for part time workers?
You have great sense of humor martspy

I think it's a really creative way of getting your message across indirectly and to act like you never really asked for an increase.
I really need a good laugh and stumbled upon it. Hahaha
You just make me smile again. Actually, I'm so stressed because I didn't yet receive payment for last month and today is 22nd, tomorrow is payment day. I still wonder if my bo$$ would pay me (us) the last paycheck.
This was a good one, and symbolic for how it works most of the time.
I had a good laugh reading this. great one
that's the charm of running ur own business .. you don't have to rely and request your managers and boss to raise your salary ... just raise your prices when you feel like it ... sometimes it hurts in job when you see that your company is doing so good and you are getting nothing out of it
boss and staff are not friend for ever
It's a joke so funny. I will translate to spanish, but I think that could be less funny. Anyway, I'll do it.
Thanks
Very funny ! Finally Boss dominated !
i had read this mail before and was planning to write same kind of mail to my boss
But if it was the case my Boss wouldn't have written such kind of reply to me. instead there would have been just one word "NO" or "Impossible".
