Another loss to the Yankees last night... they better pull off a victory tonight to avoid the sweep! Anyone else out there a member of Red Sox Nation? Tampa Bay is looking good, the Yankees are heating up... hopefully Papi provides a nice boost to the Sox and gets them rolling! Has anyone heard of any trades they're trying to make? Looks like the Yankees are active, and the Sox are just sitting around.

I hope Tampa Bay can take the division at least, to show up the Yankee/Red Sox dominance in the division for the past 15 years...
I think the Orioles were the last team other then the Red Sox/Yankees to make the playoffs from the American League East division.

well as the trade deadline passed, manny is no longer on the sox. his recent blow up was just too much to deal with, so they traded him over to the dodgers in a 3 team deal. the pirates seemed to make out pretty well with the deal netting 4 players out of the whole thing. the sox came out with jason bay from the pirates. obviously too soon to tell how its all going to work out. but who knows....
Jason Bay is doing what they've expected. And based on how awful the Yankees have been playing lately, they don't have much to worry about right now.
My Yankees have been off the pace the whole season, always a few games back from Bosox and way way off the Rays. as teh previous poster says the Yankees are doing the Sox a favour by playing poorly. we won't make post-season.
