Do you think its a sport. I play at a national level, sponsors, etc. Do you think its a real sport?

I realize a person not very deep into the sport cannot fully appreciate the talent, skill, money, and dedication that people put into this sport.
Its personal become my life. I'm playing PSP North East Open this August. Paintball is an awesome sport - I wish it'd get more attention. I played over 10 years ago when I was in high school. At that time there were only pumps and semi-automatics. Haven't played in a long time, but it seems like the fully auto guns take a lot of skill out of the sport. Playing with pump action guns requires much more skill.

Faster rates of fire require more skill. Full auto is completely regulated in league play through NXL which is a franchised based pro league. PSP is a form of ramping used in well PSP. Semi, used in everything else such as NPPL. Semi in high end guns now adays can attain 14-20bps.

I would love to play paintball. I love counter strike. so doing something real might be great. Obviously not demaging anything. jjaaj
Paintball is a sport in which players eliminate opponents from play by hitting them with dye-filled, breakable, gelatin paintballs usually shot from a carbon dioxide or compressed air powered "paintball marker". The paint is also enviromentally friendly.

Insurance statistics show that paintball is one of the safest sports, with fewer injuries per exposure than sports like football, soccer, basketball, baseball, golf, and bowling.
I played it once, and I loved it. Planning to go again soon!
Never played it before. But sounds nice. The only problem is we dont have the game here... Maybe sometime in the future. =)

playing is indeed very cool. but the be hit with the balls is !@$!& damm it hurtsi dont know, why not? what i know is paintball is very funny and intense...i great time i passed playing once, there was old cars and wood tower in the field, it was at night, so the game or sport, was very interesting about to feel in a "war" situation...those role, the darkness, the screamings and even the silence for while make that moment an unforgivible moment...
What really what to play again...
It's a sport but not an OFFICIAL to be used in culture.

I'd like to play more and more.
Definitely a sport. We actually need more indoor places in upstate NY though. It's not all that great playing it in the snow.
I love paintball! Its just a bit expensive. Airsoft is a cheaper alternative and i also play that.
In my opinion i don't think it's a sport. I actually plan on going paintball in a couple months (Early planning 
). A lot of positive comments, i'm looking forward to it. We dont really have the stuff here, in India.... or well.. atleast not in my city
But If I ever get a chance to play, I'd love to!! 
I guess it's pretty addictive! and ya, I do think that it is a sport.. seeing that it also has teams, and cometitions, nation-wide, and international too... 
I don't consider paintball to be a sport since my definition of sport tends to be more traditional. However, I recognize that it takes times to get good at the game and it is a lot of fun.
I've never actually played a game but I have shot a gun a few times and it seems like something I'd like to do sometime.
The thing about paintball is that depending on whether or not the facility tunes down the speed of the guns -- it can really hurt if you get hit. All the guns that the facility provides are usually fine, but last time I went, these kids brought in their own guns and I had about 14 welts on my body from these powerful guns. I am not a wuss or anything but it seems unfair that some people should be allowed to have fast shooting paintballs while others don't.
Has anyone else experienced this at a controlled facility?
I still have not played paintball, but if I ever get to visit my brother at the right time, I will. I definitely think its a sport. I think that the strategy involved qualifies it as a sport.
What strategies do you all use?
