Probably due to the Microsoft suit against Google over human resources, some very heated exchanges have turned up in some court documents. Microsoft CEO Steve Balmer has apparently vowed to kill Internet search leader Google, according to documents filed in the increasingly bitter battle between the rivals."
Excerpt from the article: "At some point in the conversation, Mr. Ballmer said: 'Just tell me it's not Google,'' Lucovosky said in his statement. Lucovosky replied that he was joining Google. 'At that point, Mr. Ballmer picked up a chair and threw it across the room hitting a table in his office,' Lucovosky recounted, adding that Ballmer then launched into a tirade about Google CEO Eric Schmidt. 'I'm going to f***ing bury that guy, I have done it before, and I will do it again. I'm going to f***ing kill Google.' Schmidt previously worked for Sun Microsystems and was the CEO of Novell."

Mr. Steve Balmer, first clean the bugs out of your Windows..............and then think of laying hands on Google.
I sincerely hope that Microsoft doesn't succeed in screwing up the excellent services that Google and GMail provide.

You shouldn't have to worry too much. As powerful as Microsoft is, they're not going to be able to wipe off Google. They can assassinate the CEO, but Google dominates the search market much like Microsoft dominates the OS market. In fact, maybe even more so if you think about how people have turned the word "google" into a verb.
I'll google that to see if I can find something.
I don't know. Don't ask me. Why don't you google it?
The first thing that pops into people's minds when you think of search engines is, and will always be, Google.
Okay, yeah, there's Yahoo too, but most people use Google for email and search and Yahoo for all other portal-type services. MSN is way behind on that. They'll have to make up a lot of ground to take down Google.
MSN relies too much on other content partners for its portals...for example, here in Australia, they joined forces with Kerry Packer's PBL (Magazines, Nine Network, Hoyts cinemas, amongst other things) to get themselves off the ground...they're called NineMSN here.
Mind you, so does Yahoo...but Yahoo isn't so bad.
As for Google vs MS...yeah, good luck Balmer, you twit!

Heh heh heh.... that one actually made me laugh... well put.
To be honest, if he actually tries to kill Google guy, I hope his gun back fires on him.
Google are doing very well at the moment, microsoft are sliding a bit.

Yahoo gets a ton of content from other providers but they work it into their own layout in their own style. I've always liked Yahoo since I was a dialup user and their pages loaded way quicker than MSN.
I would say Yahoo! & Google are the leading search engine providers because Google serves over 8 billion webpages on the internet.

I agree with you..Windows and associated programs from MS have so many stability problems.
I think they should think how to improve their products before trying to start a war to someone that so far seems doing pretty well with services and credibility...just look at their stock value...
MS just suffers from an acute form of envyous virus...

Same here. I'm more loyal (if you could put it that way) to Yahoo than I am to MSN. I only use NineMSN for the Ralph homepage and National Nine News.
Windows
Goodows...
Who knows, google might come up with an OS.
Its like loser getting frustrated finally.... Google stand for cool(gle)... its cool. Mr. Balmer has no other things to say than to just cry out like this!

*laughs* Well, honestly , in the direction and speed they are going, they pretty much have everything BUT an OS. Wouldn't at all be suprised if they DID do something like that. Teaming up with Linux or something like that to provide a stable, free OS that is widly advertised...I can see it happening.

I'd love to see google win....
Google's search results are slowly going down because they are taking money from companies who what their website to show up first.
I always love Google for quality services..But Microsft gave nothing 2 me but headaches and bugs..so I vote for google ..
don't take ballmer serious: have you seen these videos? http://www.ntk.net/ballmer/mirrors.html he's so weird! :p
Competition brings improvement,i think.
