Computer Turns On.. : Then it Doesn't

Hi

I have an old Compacq Celeron Presario. Lately if I turn the power off at the wall it won't turn back on again. All I get a is a green flashing light on the front of the computer. (Also there is a green flashing light on the power supply on the back of ther computer. )

But after a day or two the light stops. And the computer can be turned on again.

What is going on here..

is the green light in front of the computer the power light or some other light?

It looks like your PSU (power supply unit) is giving up on you. Have you done any hardware upgrades lately on that computer? You may be facing power shortage or you just have to replace that PSU. Else you can try unpluggin say your CD-ROM/DVD ROM and test it out.

Its an old Cerleron.. I relaly only used it for Podcasts and Music and Chat

yeah, had the same thing going for me and ofc it was the power supply unit (expensive things those thou..ugh)
