Simple modifications to my site

Da Rossa
Well, inspired by some [url=http://www.frihost.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=793393#793393]off-topic suggestions[/quote], I decided to change a little my site. To start off, it's very simple, pure html with no scripts. All done in NVU. It's here: http://www.darossa.frih.net/notas
the first thing is that I'd like to change the link colours. At NVU, I went to preferences->link colors and changed to an example, like shown here:

But they remained in the old state, with the blue links.
What shall I do?

I'm not familiar with NVU, but I took a look at your website and it appears that element.style does not have a color a:link attribute set.

Oops, English please!! Very Happy

Ok, calm down. Is it somewhere near this part of the code?
Code:
</head>
<body
 style="background-image: url(imagens/blog_fundo.jpg); font-family: Georgia,'Times New Roman',Times,serif;">
<h1 class="style1"
 style="font-weight: normal; color: rgb(91, 46, 0);"
 align="center">Notas de aula</h1>

What exactly and where should I add? Smile

Hi! Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.

Looking at it, it seems you are trying to define style from within the HTML. You may be better off if you code the style cues into the CSS, that way your changes will effect all your pages.

As an example, here is how I would change your link colors to brown:
Code:
a {
   color: #996633;
}

This should now effect all links on your website that link to your style sheet. You can link a page up to your CSS by putting this line of code into the <head> section of the page:
Code:
<link href="YOUR-CSS-PAGE.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" />

Does this help any?
Da Rossa
oh God.
this didn't help, I don't even know what to do. I know nothing about CSS...
I put that in the <head> but where do I put the other part?

And... is there a way to simply modify the colours of the links displayed in the browser? @ NVU they're shown in the color I want, but not in Firefox. why?
