whats the difference? domain and servers

What is the difference between server 1 and sever 2? I keep seeing them mentioned but could find anything about what they are. Is this anything I need to do or is it automatically assigned?

Also I plan on using my own domain name and I read about add-on and parked domains, but it was described in "computer" language and confused me. Once I get approved and set up my website, I want people to type in www.throughthefireofrsd.org and be directed to my homepage. Which is the one I want to use?

The control panel is different and a few odd setting here and there are different. No huge difference though.
Your account will be created on VPS1 (at the time of posting) as all new accounts are currently being created here. This is automatically assigned.

A parked domain will take your domain and point it to your public_html directory.
An add-on domain will point it to a sub-directory of your public_html directory.

If you plan on having several different sites, use addon, otherwise use parked.
