i've been looking for a cheap surround sound system for my computer, and i found this

does anyone know actually how good it is, or if there's a good one for cheap (i'm a teenager without a job or allowance, so i don't have very much money) It sounds a bit too good to be true, so just checking
The best you can get is the logitech 5.1 system: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836121126
They go on sale from time to time. I had the exact set I linked you to, but I upgraded to a home theatre setup. If you live in Georgia, I'll sell you mine for $20.
=O i'll pay an extra $20 for you to ship it
anyways, is it good quality, and is it worth it? My dad keeps insisting that our old ones are fine. They're by Cambridge Soundworks, and the speakers themselves are only about 3 cubic inches, and the bass/subwoofer thing is probably comprable to a shoebox. The sound is okay, but since there's only two, it's not the best for gaming or listening to music.
The X530 is very good, but you should watch out for something, if your speakers are in a room with lights, every time when you turn on the light, it make sound
sounds good. now all i need is for him to ship it to me so i save $40 on shipping and the system =P

This only happens if the power in your house is terribly wired. I never have this issue. Even with over 1KW of computing going on.
Weable, PM me.
i'm not so sure about the wiring o_O this house is from the 70's, and some of the things aren't installed as well as you'd hope
The best 5.1 surround sound speaker system if the Logitech Z-5500.

It is unrivaled in the $200-300 range. If you look around, you can definitely find these bad boys for $180-200 new. It has 3 different outputs in the back control center: optical, coax, and component. I component for my PC, coax for my TV, and optical for my XBox.
I have the logitech 5.1 and I'm satisfied. But of course you can get better speakers but it will also cost more then
There are going speakers to be found at a lot of places. I have a 5.1 set of Monsoon speakers and they rock. Plus they are all medal so they hold up after my abuse from knocking them over and such.
The first set of surround sound speakers for a computer I got were X-Oz ones, which were reasonably cheap in comparison to some of the known brand names (at least, here in Australia they were). So far, I've had no problems with them.
I LOVE my speakers - I bought them from Newegg last week - super fast shipping and they are awesome speakers for the price.
My old computer speakers were so poor I was almost ready to buy $120 Philips speakers from Wal-Mart but I thought I'd try online first.
I came across these speakers and saw that they have GREAT reviews, mostly 5's.

I thing Genius SW-HF 5.1 5000 is best buy. Excellent quality for so low price.

the power in the house doesnt have to be terribly wired, its even on the logitech support site that it can happen... and at me my speakers also recieve radio
Currently, I am using the Logitech z5500 and could not be happier. It is a gorgeous system with incredible sound. Remote operable, tweakable, etc. And one great thing about Logitech is that they support their products more than any company I know of.
