"I know you’re used to giving lectures and questioning others, but right now I’m the one who’ll be making the inquiries," the Detective Yu said, as he shook off his umbrella and removed his wet raincoat.

He was standing in the hallway of the Great Science Center.
Just a short while ago, a rare, one-of-a-kind Himalayan bobcat had been stolen from its cage in the research laboratory.

The only three people who could have gained entry of the classified lab were standing before the Detective Yu.

"So where were each of you at exactly 6:30 this evening, when the bobcat-napping was determined to have taken place?"

"I was in my laboratory, studying molecule-sized microbes with my nuclear-powered microscope," said Dr. Mays, head of the Biology Department.
Detective Yu: "Any eye witness?"
Dr. Mays:" Ya...I was with Sam"
Sam: "Yup we were there together"

"I was at the telescope site, looking for traces of neutron stars," said Professor Jason.
Detective Yu: "Any eye witness?"
Professor Jason: "No...no one was there with me..."

"I was in my office, preparing notes for my lecture tomorrow on chemotherapy," said Dr. Barnes.
Detective Yu: "Any eye witness?"
Dr. Barnes: "No...But you can see my notes..."

"I was in the coffee shop." Johnathan replied.
Detective Yu: "There is no Coffee shop round here!" said Detective Yu
Johnathan: "The owner of the stationery store is a friend of mine...He offered me Coffee"
Detective Yu: "So why did you say Coffee SHOP?"
Johnathan: "Duh! Why should i detail everything!
If you want ask my friend I was with him
I Have a eye witness!"

"I love cats...I was doing a research on the nature of cats" Said Sadie [lolz!]
Detective Yu: "Any eye witness?"
Sadie: "You can ask the cats!" [laughs]...I was with Mira
Mira: "We were with the cats"

"...I get it....So the robber is ********" Said Detective Yu

So who is suspected of Cat-Napping? Itz Kidnapping lolz....

I think it was Johnathan, he seems a little suspicious to me.

Though I am confused on one detail, you said only three people could have gained access to the cat, but you question a whole bunch of people...

I say it was Dr. Mays, and Sam.

My reason is first, Dr. Mays was the only one who was in the labratory. Second, I have never heard of a nuclear powered-microscope, nor can I find a necular powered microscope on google Laughing

I think its Sadie because he loves cats, so it is possible he stole the exotic cat!!

I'd say Professor Jason, because he had no eye-witnesses with him and so he could have been anywhere...

It's Professor Jason; It mentions that Detective Yu "shook off his umbrella and removed his wet raincoat", so it is raining. Since the napping took place "just a short time ago," it was probably raining then too. Jason could not have been looking at the stars if there were rain clouds in the way.
