my favorites for a while have been Super Troopers and Requiem for a Dream. Super Troopers is just rediculous and my kind of humor...its probly the best laugh out loud movie ive ever seen. Requiem for a Dream was just a really powerful movie for me. its about junkies pretty much and it follows a few different characters that have different but similar problems with addiction. the cast is great, the script is great, the soundtrack really ties the whole movie together...it is a really great movie and i would recommend it to anyone. one that you mentioned that is really good is American History X...it is a really good movie. if you like movies about race or care about that kind of thing i would also recommend the movie Crash, it follows a bunch of different people and shows them in racially charged situations and also shows them interacting with eachother. it is the best movie i have seen recently.
