I will be watching Euro 2008 but generally while working on my pc and the telly on in background. Thats unless the larger nations are playing each other.
I find it should a shame that no British Clubs are participating.....especially England as we are supposed to have the best league in the world.

Hmm, Spain got a good chance to win, I think. Or Germany, which has very strong and very good team this season. And last season too

Im gonna watch as much as i can, dont know, since i am in hawaii right now, and soccer is not big over here. And im hoping for sweden to make it really far! Zlatan and Henrik Larsson could make a good team that hopefully scores a lot of goals

This time, it's going to be someone like Greece who plays well as a team with patriotism .... either Croatia or Netherlands. Spain have yet to prove themselves. They have the team but do they have the belief? Let's not forget the host nations with home support ... this year's Euro is going to be fantastic ....

england is not in the tournament because they fired their swedish coach, Sven-Göran Eriksson, even though he took them to the quarter finals (or semi?) in the world cup. so Id say england have themselves to blame!
Czech Republic won first match. Nothing special, but IMO Switzerland was better. I hope they'll get high in this tournament. Sad match for them, lose and Frei's injury.

I would say that so far, Portugal looks the strongest .... Cristiano Ronaldo, Quaresma, Nani, Nuno Gomes, Ricardo, they have many stars .... it'll be interesting to see the Group of Death ganes,

Croatia - strong in first half, but they overrun theirselves and didnt want to play as dynamic as in first half. I think they would finish 1st or 2nd in their group.
Austria - nothing much at all... poor team
Poland - crap as i expected (im from Poland by the way), the best player isnt from Poland (Roger).
Germany - also weak, if they would encounter for example Portugal or Netherlands in semi finals they are out.
Switzerland - sad that Frei wont play anymore, but i hope they would get out of their group. Young and determinated team.
Czech Republic - they miss some of the main players, but they could get to semi finals with a bit of luck.
Turkey - worst team ? They just know how to foul.

Since I'm Swedish I have to support Sweden, but I don't think they'll manage to get that far.
I'm putting bets on Netherlands though.. I just love their football and they have great chances of winning this year. The recent matches have proven that. And most important imo; it's really fun to watch them play! They have so many skilled players on the field and Van Der Sar in the goal.. what can go wrong?

I was so pissed when spain made that disputable goal with one minute left of the game! gaah!
Well, as far as Group C is concerned, the Dutch have secured their spot in the Quarter Finals. What is extremely exciting is the fact that all the other three teams have a chance to qualify. In fact, I would put my money on Romania. They've been excellent and have really done outstandingly well in a group that someone would have written them off in!
In Group D, Spain are through and Greece are out. So, that game will be a fruitless one. But, as far as Russia - Sweden is concerned, that should be a cracker ... in that, the winner takes it all. In the event of a draw, the Swedes will be through.

I would say that if Netherland is smart they would probably let Romania win because anyway they will finish first of the group and it is a good move for them to have France and Italy out because even if they have not been impressive so far they can always be dangerous.And that will probably not be the case of Romania.
But let's see what Netherland will decide to do.

Brazil?? Seriously? This is the Euro ... not the World Cup.
Anyway, Group A had an extremely dramatic finish ... Turkey were down and out until Petr Cech gifted two goals away .... then, there was nothing Cech could have done about Nihat's classy strike! And the Swiss beating Portugal? Who would have thought that? Unbelievable stuff! Czech Republic were cruising through to the Quarter Finals when they ended up last in the group!
Talk about putting your foot in your mouth saying Turkey is the worst team in Euro 2008. They played impeccably in the 2nd half against the Czech Republic once they made their switch from a 4-4-2 to a 4-5-1. The rally itself reminded me of the vibe in Manchester United's Champions League win in 1999. This Turkey team appears to have something magical as it's been the only team to rally from a deficit to win. They are not the most talented team in the tournament but you don't have to be the best team on paper as the Greeks showed us in 2004.
Turkey definitely has the markings of a great dark horse like at the 2002 World Cup. But I still picked the Dutch before the start of Euro 2008. Van Der Sar has been impeccable back in goal and the total football of the Dutch is totally working.
Oh come on.

I don't think Netherland will win because the teams starting very strongly, very rarely finish so well.
Some teams that doesn't look too good for the moment such as Germany maybe good candidates.
Holland are looking good, but don't count out Portugal or Spain. Turkey may be worth a punt if you want a little flutter.
I really think my team (Sweden) has a good chance to reach the quarter finals. We should absolutely be able to beat or tie against russia. What might suck is that we'll meet holland in the quarter finals then, and they have started very strong. but i think that holland would have a hard time against sweden with the way we play.

I remember that since 1982 we say in every World Cup or European Championship that Spain will be a good candidate for the title but it never happens. So let's see this time...

I don't know if Italy have a great chance (yesterday they had a lot of possibilities but missed so much as well and against 10 opponents) but it is true that they have a chance.
I really think that Netherland have made a big mistake in winning their game. (obviously I mean mistake for other teams than Italy!)

Turkey have done it again but ... this time, they will not have any of their in form players such as Tuncay, Turan, Emre, Volkan, etc. They cannot be underestimated though as they have the potential to steal the game away from you in the last minutes. It'll be a very good game - Germany vs Turkey.

My favorite team is Spain. Although that Spain is my favorite team i think that Italy will win in the Euro.
Spain have beaten Italy on penalties! It was a dull game and the Italians were hopeless going forward. They were defending and waiting for the shoot out which they eventually lost! They honestly deserved to be knocked out. Spain played really well.

Spain played circles around Germany. Spain has a problem with tournaments for some reason. They destroy every team they normally play, until they hit the semi's. World Cup for example... dominating 4-0 and 5-1 etc... then wipes out haha... hopefully this will all change!

No use to answer the question now as it is all over. Spain won a big tournament after a lng time. They are very unluck all the time to get out of the workld cup.
Germany after 1990, quarter final in 1994, quarter final in 1998, final in 2002, semifinal in 2006. Poor, they came close and so close but could not win. And again in Euro 2008, final but lost again. I think they are going to win 2010.
